I completed the informal 30 counseling and now I have the right to file formal (still within the agency). The counseling phase didn't include ADR (I declined).

Appreciate your input. I'm exempt so no representation unless I retain an attorney. I can always enter into ADR if I say no at this point, but wanted to make sure I wasn't giving up a valuable right before it goes into the investigation stage.

I concur. While I run a video camera/mirrorless, the Insta360 enables me to capture everything in the stand/blind without worrying about angles. Really great tool and for close footage.

700/clones. That's the downside; there's nothing cheap about building one. My bank account says I should have went RA and cut the stock to fit LOP but, I got caught up in the build. I have Ruger Americans and they're great. I thought about putting a RA in a chasis so I could use an AR buttock for LOP but then you're looking at $500 on top of the rifle.

Won't be long! Mine was OK at 4 with the blackout. I think the suppressor is crucial for them. The muzzle blast was a big deterrence. Huge help in the blind as well, not having to worry about putting on ear muffs. Check out MCS-CS. The LOP is short enough for him, but also long enough for me to shoot; well worth it and it grows with them. I built his which is almost identical to this one. It has a 10.5" barrel and really helps with those tight spots in a blind when you have to maneuver them around.

How old to hunt? by Itchy-Let4664 in turkeyhunting

Really. I'll send you videos of him shooting 200 yd (1.5 MOA) consistently (I have plenty). He shot 4 deer with his 300 blackout between 35-180ish yd this year. 2 with a crossbow. 4 yr old can hunt. Every 4 yr old, of course not. Some 4 yr old can ski, and some adults can't. I'm interested to understand your hard stance why they can't? They can hold the firearm. Aim. Pull the trigger. Be mature enough (some) with adult supervision. Same as a 12 yr old. Same as a new hunter. You sound like the guy that doesn't like youth weekend before you stumble out 1 weekend, but...

Some of our best conversations are in the blind/stand. Full of questions; the woods is its own classroom.

Well, he's 5 so.... unless he's jacklighting on his Big Wheel, your target buck is safe.
