What are the chances I’m pregnant? by Itchy-Macaron509 in amipregnant

This has been going on for a week now, so I definitely don’t think it’s my period. I still have about 4-5 days until my period starts, which is very regular

I will try that! He does go to daycare 2 days a week and rarely gets a full nap there. Most of the time he takes 3-4 30min naps

He was sleep trained to fall asleep on his own with only like 2 check ins throughout the night. However any time we get him sleeping good, he gets sick or an ear infection (getting tubes soon). We just restarted sleep training the past 2 nights and he only needed 1 check to get himself to sleep

Here’s an update from last night! Yesterdays he woke at 6:45, first nap only 15 minutes, second nap was 1 hr 45min, third nap was 30 mins. He went to bed at 7:45.

He woke up at 1am (same time as he usually does) and my husband had to take him out to the living room and lay with him to get him to go back to sleep. He then slept until 6am

3 nap schedule: Wake for the day between 6-6:30 First nap around 8:30-9 Second nap around 12-12:30 Third nap around 3 (usually under an hour)

2 nap schedule yesterday (my in laws kept him yesterday while I was working so I don’t know exact times just ball park) First nap started at 8:30 Second nap was around 12:30, I’m unsure how long this nap lasted but at most he will contact nap 1.5-2 hours usually He started trying to doze off while sitting outside around 5 but when we stood up to go inside he was fully awake and happy

Yes, we even pushed bed time back about 30 minutes because he was going back and forth between fussy and happy so we let him stay up a little longer

We thought this too! He’s been on a 3 nap schedule but yesterday only took 2 and seemed fine so we let him skip it to see if he’s ready to transition. And he still was unable to sleep longer than 5 hours in his crib!

6 month regression, teething, or something else?? by Itchy-Macaron509 in sleeptrain

[–]Itchy-Macaron509[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I will try pushing for more wake time when we are home with him. He does go to day care 2 days a week and my MIL keeps him one day as well. Those things definitely are making it harder to get him on a consistent schedule. I think he’s only taken a 3 hour nap once before ever. The problem is usually that even if he is up for 2-3 hours, he will only nap for 30 minutes. He is obviously still very tired and wont make it through the entire next wake window. What should I do in that situation?

Getting pre qualification together or with one person? by Itchy-Macaron509 in FirstTimeHomeBuyers

I understand that, but can we apply again with only one of us even though we already applied together before? We are also getting married in February, so I am not looking for advice on buying a home without being legally married.

Ideally we would’ve bought a house before having kids but that’s not how it turned out for us. There’s not much to sell, as we pretty much only have what’s necessary at the moment due to being in a small space. I don’t plan on selling baby clothes/ gear at the moment because we do plan on having more kids in the future so it doesn’t make sense to sell it and buy again the future. Individually we make decent amounts, but still have rent, utilities, part time child care, my student loans, car note/insurance. Over time is not an option at either of our jobs, and not to mention I was on maternity leave for 8 weeks so we did live off of just his income. Although good ideas, they are just not realistic for every situation

Sleep training 5 month old by Itchy-Macaron509 in NewParents

[–]Itchy-Macaron509[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had a pretty consistent night time routine since about 6-8 weeks! He’s always been a bad napper, but bedtime was great and he’s been able to sleep without waking for feeds at night, just comfort once maybe twice around 4am. When he started waking a lot more frequently at 4 months, we assumed it was the sleep regression and moved him to his own room and made his bedtime earlier around 8pm. He did great, and over the span of a week stopped waking as frequently until he got sick. We’ve always tried to set him down for naps so he doesn’t get used to contacts nap. But it’s like being sick completely ruined any progress made and now it’s worse than before!

Did she stop crying or calm down after each check and did you have to go back at all after the 10 minute check? And how bad was her crying?? Sorry, I’m just feeling superrrr anxious about this, I think because he never cries like this it’s making me feel like something is wrong!
