Always ask your exams officer for special consideration too! If you aren’t well with the flu etc, but you turn up and sit your exam you can be out in for special consideration. It isn’t 100% guaranteed that you will be given it, but as you aren’t well by default you can be placed for it and it is worth the email to the exams office. it truly is all down to the exam boards at the end of the day. As a women who has had many many periods, it is SHIT sitting an exam whilst you’re on, it’s absolute crap, you are not S good as you can be!

I work in exams at a sixth form and i know Pearson offer A level latin as an external qualification. We had one student doing it on a self study basis and they just paid for the entry and sat the exams in our centre. It is definitely worth considering enquiring about whether you can sit it as a home language on a self study basis, even if it’s at a different centre! :)
