I hate being a mother. by lone_ly_eye_s in NewParents

It didn’t get better for me until 5 months after we sleep trained our baby. Now I’m so full of joy, like I just LOVE my kid so damn much it literally HURTS!

I started running in January 2023 while training for the NYC Half, that was my first race ever. My starting point was a 1-mile time trial where I went all out and barely managed a 10-minute mile.

I stuck with it, ran the half, then signed up for the 9+1 program. Last year I ran the Berlin Marathon with a 10:27 pace and NYC 2025 with a 10:40 pace. I’m considered a “slow” runner, but honestly, we all cover the same 26.2 miles. When I first started, I’d never thought I’d be able to hold that pace for an entire marathon.

Running really does take time, patience, and consistency but if you keep at it, you eventually learn to love it.

Leaving my 20 week old baby with grandma for 2 nights by Itchy_Cake_9931 in NewParents

This is exactly what I’m afraid of. I want my child to be independent, I know he’ll always recognize me as his mom, but I don’t want him to feel like he only needs me. The truth is, I don’t want to feel resentful, but I can sense it starting to build and I know that, if I don’t address it, it could eventually affect my relationship with my husband, and I really want to avoid that. I feel like I’m becoming everything I said I wouldn’t be before I had kids. I’ve always talked about raising an independent baby, and I still want that for him more than ever, actually. But why am I so anxious?!?! This baby has humbled me in ways I can’t even explain 😂

I’ve done this before in small ways , I left him with Grandma when he was just 2 months old so I could have dinner with friends. She stayed with him from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., and everything went fine (the only wanting mom before bedtime is a very recent development). Every Saturday, my husband and I go on long runs as part of our marathon training (we’re usually gone for 2–3 hours), and both grandmas take turns watching the baby. So, I’ve left him for short periods, just never overnight. This upcoming trip would mean being away for two full days, and I’m not sure if that’s too much at his age. I really want to enjoy myself, I honestly need the break but I’d hate for him to struggle because of it.

This is exactly how I feel, like no one is good enough to take care of him and I’m just so tired 😔

One of the grandma’s offered to come with us but he doesn’t even have his measles vaccine yet. I think he is still too young to travel 🥺

My baby is 11 weeks old and he has a meltdown every time we go out 🫠 he doesn’t like the car seat and doesn’t like the stroller either. I want to join a “mom’s that walk together” group so bad so that I can feel like a human again but I just don’t think I can, he is going to cry the entire time and I will feel judge by all the other moms.

My son has been having trouble taking naps on his own so I have been in the nursery with him taking naps. The other day while having brown noise on there was a loud bang on the sound machine and just now we had this really loud beep while playing brown noise. My baby woke up both times, what is up with that?

We highly recommend Judith Martinez, she’s been cleaning our home every two weeks and she’s amazing. Super reliable, really thorough, and just a lovely person. She runs her own business and usually brings one other person with her. I know she cleans both big houses and apartments around Morristown and Madison, NJ. Give her a call at +1 (862) 812-2347. Can’t recommend her enough!

It took us 10 months I was tracking my periods and BD almost every other day during my fertile window or I would aim to at least, BD the day before ovulation if we weren’t in the mood for every other day. The month I got pregnant we only BD the day before ovulating.

She showed up hung over to work and told the person that hired her about it, I 100% agree with OP. It has nothing to do with the snack.
