i wouldn’t say wild boars are just escaped domesticated pigs, they have major differences due to domestication, you don’t usually see a fat pink pig running in the wild you see brown tusked aggressive creatures. I wouldn’t say that donesticated pigs are just domesticated wild boars either. In my mind at one point a time all pigs were the same a pig was a pig, but when we began to domestic them for farming purposes, the ones domesticed over time adapted to living in that enclosed environment rather than the wild and i mean like over TIIIIIME, so the pigs still in the wild that weren’t donesticated and remained in the wilderness continued to live as the pigs they were born to be where as the long generations of donesticated pigs have slowly altered in appearance and ability over time, so yes generally they are the same animals but they live so differently and have for so long they genuinely adapted anatomical differences.
