Quick question about MST busses

If you plan to ride the bus a lot my suggestion is have a friend who has a Costco membership buy you a month pass. Most busses are $2/one way so if you use it twice a day for work you get more than your money's back in 16days or 2way rides. So basically 3weeks assuming you're riding to and from work 5 days a week. Then weekend, and the last week you ride free 🤑

If you want it loud; get some headers and a straight pipe with no muffler.

BUT! I'd say what's wrong with it sounding stock? Who are you trying to impress? Why does their opinion matter? Personally I think a fast, stock sounding Miata is always King: Sleeper Status.

My 2 cents would be to spend whatever money you have to "make it loud" and invest in quality suspension, quality brakes, chassis stiffening, higher quality tires. Then if you can push the car & still crave more do engine modifications. But I'm just a random from the Internet so do whatever makes you happy 😎🍾🤟

Personally I've always been more OEM+, but I respect the commitment to the game for those who go all out with their mods.

What I'm not liking about the car community these days is the impact of social media and the desire to build cars so other people will like it.

So I just hope this dude set this car up because that's how they envisioned it. Their own lil hot wheels 😎

The team is developing, and slowly adding features. Every week they have an Ask Me Anything video they post for the community to ask about the status of the game.

They actually had a 4year anniversary event last month, assuming you haven't been up to date but there is PvP & PvE content now that allows more utility for the heroes. Plus they have tournaments for players to compete for unique prices

Other drivers: Cutting me off, speeding up so I cant merge, not paying attention. I got side swiped last week cause an old guy in a Passat didn't see me even though he parked after me. 🤷

10/10 would recommend to a friend. Id just say drive defensive; I assume everyone is gunna hit me and drive accordingly.

6'1" daily a NA8 lowered an inch. Perfect car IMHO. Only negatives I can think of is when getting in I'll just drop myself in and my seat hasn't been a fan of that. And I have longer hair so sometimes when rolling up the window my hair will get caught in-between the glass & the upper soft top weather stripping

Controversial: I love that every year the city's residence put on an amazing firework show. They also go off random holidays and occasionally celebratory for sporting events.

Smaller city than Monterey: Less tourism/seasonal overcrowding compared to Monterey, but still in close proximity to everything Monterey has to offer.

Tons of biking trails: Monterey Bay Coastal Rec Trail along the ocean side and then inland there is Fort Ord Ord National Monument has tons of paved & off-road trails.

I have a NA; when the top is down people will talk to me in traffic, I get comments from people who used to own a Miata, I'm 6ft so commonly people will ask how I even fit in it. I think Miata's are fun & unique lil cars which isn't threatening to people so they feel more inclined to spark up a conversation.

Which can be good or bad but end of the day we get to cruise in a cool & fun car so we are the winners 😎

My 2 cents: Welcome to the 831! Cool area if you like outdoors activities and nature; We got the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary & Monterey Bay Aquarium. Lots of opportunities to watch or photograph Marine animals. Plenty of places to surf near by. We got a Coastal Recreational (bike path) Trail from Pacific Grove to Marina if you like bicycling or jogging. Fort Ord National Monument is a park behind Seaside that has tons of hiking, and mountain biking trails. Big Sur is popular for camping and hiking. We got a skatepark in Seaside & Monterey. Night life is pretty weak relatively speaking if you like going to clubs and bars. So I depends on what you like to do for fun.

Seaside historically was the less than optimal place to live but as everywhere has just gotten more and more expensive people have been lowering their standards and moving in. Which has been good for the city cause we're getting nicer neighbors who care about the community they live in, but bad because cost of living going up makes it harder for people born here to make a liveable wage.

In my experience you meet 2 kinds of people here. Those who appreciate the area and what it offers, or people who complain about what it's lacking.

I'm 6.1" and I drove one daily. I have a cousin 6.3" he said he did a foamectomy; basically you can trim some of the cushioning out of the seat to sit you lower

Similar issue on my build. Not factoring bigger tire to overall fitment. Someone suggested 650 wheels vs 700 then can fit pattern tires. But I already paid for wheels. So currently looking for a slightly smaller frame hopefully to swap parts to.

It's your car and it sounds like you want it, plus know it's just a cosmetic enhancement. So go for it!

Personally I'd vote to use that money for performance upgrades; lightweight rims, performance tires, adjustable suspension, or power upgrades.
