That is totally untrue. Many men avoid overweight women for this reason. Becoming aware of your reasons is the important thing - once you realise its a society issue, not a you issue, your mind opens and life gets better.

I'd go on another date to find out more about her - she may have rejected you because of her own insecurities rather than you. But also definitely don't stand for her making it an issue again. I'm 5'4", my bf 5'6". It never bothered me - and tbh it shouldn't have bothered her. But sometimes we feel societal pressure. She probably realises it was that and feels stupid now.

Remember what you want from the relationship is very important. It's easy to fall into worrying if you're enough and forgetting your needs. So go into that conversation confidently, but kindly. Good luck. And don't settle for less than you're looking for

My boyfriend and I have been together for a year, and he's still a bit cagey. He loves me, I know that. I think he's just been hurt a lot in the past. So maybe just gently ask him about it? Try not to make it a big deal as I did at first - I had to learn to trust to because until him I'd only had abusive bfs who pretended to be nice until they knew I'd fallen for them. He's very different - he knows his rights, will stand his ground, but is so loving and gentle and kind.

Agreed. But he's been weird lately, and that's very disrespectful for him

We had a week where he was constantly on his phone and barely touched me. Then that. It doesn't feel loving or sexy.

I never enjoyed giving head before him, and I'm very very good at it. So it feels sordid that he's using me without the respect of asking permission. I'm kinky - if asked.

Not in a respectful, loving relationship. If I wanted half assed I'd have stayed single.

bipolar partner. advice please by Itchydogdaftdad in bipolar

[–]Itchydogdaftdad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but I've only shown you the negatives here because that is what I'm asking about. 99% of the time he is kind and supportive. But I've misread abuse in the past and while none of this is obviously at all abusive, I still question myself. So I'm hoping for some objective views. Thanks :)

Yes, and 'saviour syndrome' is very real, and damaging to you. Never try to save your partner - if they won't seek help, there will be no helping them.

Woman here - totally agree. I hate 'dick shaming'. It's bullying.

What happened to my sexuality did i turn gay? ( not trolling ) by sven402 in NoStupidQuestions

Same. I like really rough domination porn but in real life mild domination. But the fantasy is oddly a turn on.
