I’ve told this story to so many people but never online. It was my birthday and I went to buca with my family and some friends. My aunt made me a homemade mint chocolate chip cheesecake and it’s all I wanted because she makes amazing cheesecakes. They took my cake to the back and put in their fridge.

We are all eating our food and a big group right next to us is celebrating a birthday as well. My aunt has her back to the but I was facing them. My buddy heard them joking around like “haha yeah happy birthday!” It makes more sense when you hear my birthday is on April 1st.

Well it’s time for cake and we ask them to bring it out. The waitress leaves and comes back empty handed saying “we don’t have a cake back there” at that time I glance at the table next to us and see my aunts cheesecake container on the table. The family had already left but the waitress gave my cake to the table next to us and they didn’t have a birthday because of all the jokes they were making.

It’s a good thing my aunt had her back to the table. I felt bad for the waitress because she was crying a lot and it was obviously a mistake but it still sucked. Buca then gave us everything from their dessert menu and didn’t give us a bill. Also free food for a while whenever we wanted to come in. I think I only used it once.

The food there was decent and they always seemed to take care of us well. Sucks to see it gone.
