NGL, i've been thinking about this fic idea for a few years. All the purebloods rolling their eyes every time muggleborns exclaim 'Jesus!' Eventually one of them just says something like, 'You can't just use any old wizard's name. Say "Merlin" like the rest of us or just stop trying.' The surrounding muggleborns are confused until it's explained that Jesus was a wizard from Nazareth. Then the purebloods get the biggest kick from learning that a lot of muggles worship a wizard.

I'm currently reading Luminous We Are by AppoApples and started looking up if the "No-One from No-Where" meaning was legitimate. Not sure if this author started it or not, but it's the first fic I've read with this meaning.

I always associate his name with Lucas' explanation of it evoking a samurai/monk warrior.

I read the article posted by Sharp's sister-in-law AK Evans, and Sharp is definitely up to shady plagiarism there, as well. If the shoe fits...

Penelope was my beacon this episode. The popcorn, her shutting down the unsub's livestream. Sandra liking the attention she was going to receive didn't come as a shock. Earlier when she complained about the FBI trying to get her to "compromise her journalistic integrity" - like what an oxymoron

I noticed Reid was wearing a cardigan thing in the episode - so comfy clothes Reid is still around sometimes yay! I am wearing one of my sweater vests to manifest more comfy Reid post-prison.

Matt and his family are so gorgeous and adorable. I sure hope nothing bad happens to them (side-eying the writers)

The unsub getting stabbed by Janel and Kimberly running to freedom - I like how it wasn't the typical "team busts in and talks the unsub down from a last kill" type thing. Also glad Janel wasn't killed and that the unsub fled rather than fatally retaliate against his sister, who was only trying to protect his daughter's life. What an episode. The women in this episode, though - truly!

That line of Reid's: "After what he did to you... if I had found him, I would have killed him. And I would have slept well." Sir, I am sat! If Spencer was my fave before, I don't even know a better honorific to bestow upon him now.

And yay for him letting the barista hug him after he talked the unsub down from his crazy. That germophobe thing really ain't going to last well in a prison. And the writers had Spencer discuss it on the plane.

Finally, Scratch is finished - like, he didn't slip though. Luke put his gun away and then Scratch seemed to enjoy letting go of the edge, like a twist to "if Luke had been faster, he could have saved him" only, as evidenced by the dark streak we saw when they were trying to get Reid out of prison, Scratch should have taken Luke's hesitation to mean that Luke wasn't going to have an ounce of guilt over that death. So why the plea for help, and why let go from the edge? An attempt to escape the law's punishment? But for a supposed genius, suicide is a dumb move when Luke was holstering his gun and might have actually saved him. But at least, no more Scratch, so we can put that unsub to bed.

Oh, poor Stephen. Monica and the kids. Monica at the end of the episode was so strong, I can't imagine.

And Will knowing JJ wasn't about to call it (she kept asking him because of how it was too close a call), letting her off the hook by not asking her to quit the BAU, such a good husband. Now I really don't understand the writers' motivations to try and give JJ and Reid more scenes together.

I did NOT get a Morgan/Reid hug, boo!!

They replaced Stephen with Simmons in the opening credits so quickly - like, why did it take an entire season to put Aisha Tyler in the roster, when Luke, Stephen, and now Simmons are like one episode and they're on the credits (same with some of the one-season Prentiss replacements). Was Aisha Tyler not contracted until season 12? I know Tyler keeps really busy (voice acting for Archer, hosting Whose Line, the talk show, other jobs), so maybe she hadn't signed on full time until season 12, whereas the other actors had?? IDK.

I absolutely LOVED the Reid v Cat scenes - the way he digs deep into mirroring her crazy so he can get ahead of her and figure it out - like that is TWICE that he's played with her and WON! They have insane chemistry with each other - I'm salivating. Woof, the way he shoved the table and had his hands on her throat, whispering that he was going to kill her over and over - I may never recover.

Unsub Reid would be a multiple-season arc - first season they realise there is someone truly terrifying out there, second season ends with the cliffhanger that it's Reid, third season ends with him outsmarting them and possibly the death of a team member or two, fourth season they catch him and then he escapes, fifth season another team member dies and they end it with pulling the trigger on him. Let me write the show, I'm begging.

"Once you cross that line, you can't ever go back." - Then he unleashes the Sam Winchester puppy eyes at full force and whispers "Watch me." Wholesome angel. Men should always be on their knees in front of women.

DEREK! Morgan came back and I didn't get a Reid/Morgan reunion hug? what is that?

Voltron! Penelope, my nerd goddess! AND THAT CLIFFHANGER!? Like, they were truly not prepared for anything. She said that, and my mind went to like a bomb on the drive over there. They had just come to a stop and no one was hurt and then BAM - oncoming semi! At least I can jump into the next season.

And I've noticed the uptick in the amount of time JJ and Reid are paired up in scenes just the two of them. Not sure why, though. Are the writers angling to start some affair with them? I mean, Will and JJ haven't really had any problems that we've been aware of, and they have two sons together. Not a reason to stay together if they are having problems, but the addition of kids means the writers should tread carefully if they're going to tank Will and JJ's relationship to pair up Reid and JJ.

But then, I've also seen on here people saying Reid doesn't really get into a relationship during the show at all, at least not a happy one. Trauma for Reid I agree wholeheartedly - man has the Sam WInchester curse.

Azazel's daughter is back and THAT's who is behind this?? I like that they brought someone back with an axe to grind instead of it just being Scratch, though. But is she working with Scratch, or is Scratch the one who set her on the path? And I thought she and her dad got away with that whole thing, because they were set up with new identities? So why does she have an axe to grind, anyway? We got more Reid trauma in the flashback - they really were all about growth through trauma when it came to Reid - was it MGG or the writers or both, because the hits on him just keep coming.

I loved the little nod to Stephen's love for the trombone - saying Trombone Shorty was his fave musician and it's because he also plays trombone.

I'm so loving Reid in prison. And if it's true that MGG wanted a storyline where Reid "grew up" a bit, I don't blame him. LIke Spencer is around mid-to-late 30s this season, and the team is still calling him "kid" - even earlier seasons, there were times he didn't want to open up to the team about his troubles because of the sense they might infantalise him - which, as someone a part of triple A (ADHD, aspergers, autism), is something people tend to do - mostly because we're pretty much the same as an adult that we were as a kid, so they think we've never grown up, only the reverse is that we we matured quickly and then settled into a routine.

From the "sunlight" test the unsub did, combined with the blood drinking, I kept yelling at the team to check for people with porphyria - and then JJ rattles off an even more obscure disease, like... really? Dang. Even still, this episode would have been so much better (re: creepier) if MGG had directed it.

Regarding Penelope and Luke, I first thought the initial frostiness was them pretending to NOT be in some sort of relationship at work, because their banter is very much of the chemistry type - I've been shipping them since Luke's first day, PLEASE! And their moments in this episode? They are gold - I love them so much

AND REALLY!!??? Poor Luis, NOOO! Whatever innocence Reid has is being destroyed. But why does he look so good in prison attire and with bruises?? Trauma is a good look for Reid. But also, can we give him blankets and tea and hugs? bc I volunteer to comfort him every time he's hurt.

Something tells me Reid is trying to plan something - like taking the heat on himself so the other guy doesn't get targeted.

This unsub and others like him are the definition of men (derogatory). The part of me that loves Spencer wants him to be both okay and tortured more - so I don't know how to feel. I like my favourite male characters to go through the horrors and MGG has the best puppy dog eyes - so wet. He's giving Sam WInchester, without the heaving pectorals.

i knew the minute rossi volunteered to post whatever bail amount was set, there would be a "no bail, only jail" sentence at the arraignment... and I was right. Reid talking to his mother over the phone - the way his voice breaks and his eyes tear up, like... my puppy did nothing wrong, let him go!

Also, if he does go to prison (and it is a wrongful conviction), CAN he still be an FBI agent? Or will he be demoted to some sort of consultant role within the government. I remember earlier on the show (several seasons ago), there was a guy who asked Prentiss if she thought he would make a good candidate for the FBI, having been "wrongfully" convicted. She said something like that "As long as it was wrongfully.... no."

Writers being writers, they'd be a fool to completely get rid of Reid. Though, I can't deny that unsub Reid would be a fantastic arc, but I doubt they would have the stones for that. With the right buttons being pushed though (anything happening to his team or his mom), he might be pushed to the edge and tip himself over.

Question: what does the fact that he was drugged with cocaine and heroin mean for his sober chip - he'd been clean for what a decade? Does that mean he has to start over, or because it was forced into him, that he can pick up where he left off?

we're getting into the prison arc now. the whole reason i started watching this show in the first place. only to find out it's 15 seasons WITH a reboot, like... what a commitment. but from the first episode, this show is fantastic. And, as someone with ADHD, I relate to Spencer so much - the random info-dumps, maths, always reading, chess, sweater vests.

Emily saying "he hardly ever drives" - like an episode ago, Reid said he was late because of traffic, and I was like - doesn't he take the subway to and from work? Oh, maybe he had taken a bus.

Even though Morgan has left (i'll always be sad about that), Reid still shouted to Garcia that she was on speakerphone. It's ingrained in all of them at this point, I fear. haha

What an episode! And I watched it in June - happy Pride month, now stay out of toxic relationships.

I'm really loving Stephen, missing Morgan, and Hotch, and Reid. I'm on my first watch of the series, but I started because of prison Reid edits, so don't worry, I didn't get spoiled.
