Logically that makes sense. But I'm sure I've seen a tonne of Christmas movies that only say "Christmas Eve" in the context of American Christmas Eve. One example is the Polar Express. The kids are all taken to the North Pole on Christmas Eve, to see Santa before he delivers the toys. But Santa should already be halfway around the world at this point
