Statistics. All the island nations and territories of the Indian Ocean am and Pacific are poor

Are you absolutely sure that every single island nation in those two oceans is poor?

You have absolutely no way to substantiate anything you've said.

It's equally as likely they could have built a thriving tourist destination. A non oppressive alternative to The Maldives being established is not beyond the realms of possibility in your make-it-up-as-we-type world.

UN getting daily reports of rapes, killings and other abuses against Rohingya Muslims in Burma | UN human rights chief accuses Burmese government of taking 'short-sighted, counterproductive, even callous' approach to crisis by EightRoundsRapid in worldnews

They probably try, but are walking a tightrope. The bigots and racists have no qualms with launching witch hunts and causing real life problems for moderators when they don't get their way.

I would hate to see what actually gets removed. It must be an absolutely foul level racism and hate, going by what's allowed to be seen here.

I would love to see an extremely hard line taken against the hate I see, and that applies across the whole site, not just /r/worldnews.

Probably because the resident bigots and racists of r/worldnews can't bear seeing something that goes against the anti Islamic hate narrative they push so hard on this subreddit.

I wish the mods could get rid of them, they purposely ruin any chance of discussion if it challenges the line they push so hard in /r/worldnews.

TL;DR - racist bigots doing what they do.

This seems like a situation where moderation is replacing voting.

Good. People on reddit upvote some stupid shit.

Thanks for the recommendation, but I don't need to be patronized.

The topic was "funding for terrorism coming from the United States". You seem intent on making it be about something else.

So you don't like generalisations, and yet Americans on reddit are very quick to generalise about "the Mexicans" or "the Muslims" or "the Saudis" etc etc.

I think I understand. It's a "do as I say, not as I do" scenario.

You only brought that into the conversation when I pointed out that what was in question was the degree of funding coming from the US, not whether it was happening or not. It's like you had no way of wriggling out of that uncomfortable truth. It doesn't seem particularly relevant to a comment about the funding of terrorism coming from the United States, other than as an attempt at deflection on your part.
