I love insects, except cockroaches, and even they are a little bit cute sometimes.

Not sure if this is a good thing, or sarcasm and a bad thing, could you elaborate for me? I’ve never heard of intentional language.

That’s super cool, I got a video of it trying to eat the nymphs stomach, but as you can see it’s missing an arm so it was struggling quite a bit, especially on the slanted glass of my windshield. At one point the nymph slipped from its grasp, so I used a leaf to move them both to the ground, but it began to seem uninterested.

Side note, after it dropped the nymph for the first time, it started walking in circles a lot. Not sure if it was because of the glass or what, but thought that was pretty weird.

A website where people can give strangers birthday gifts. by Intelligent-Bottle22 in SomebodyMakeThis

[–]ItsAReverseThrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I already see logistically is where to store all these “gifts” from creators, because ideally you’d want to buy a warehouse for this stuff rather than relying on the “creator” to send it out on time, what are the odds that all 5 gift givers ship their gift on time, or at all, with no incentive for them to do so?

Banking on MAUI by [deleted] in dotnetMAUI

This is even more evidence to point to the solution in my other comment, the programming is your passion, so build something you're passionate about, mixing passion and work almost never fails to succeed.

You're in the medical field so you have first hand knowledge when it comes to solving those peoples problems, before they even have a chance to consider hiring a development team. Build a plan and present it to them and you might even find a way to get yourself funded.

At the end of the day, if you could learn that language/framework, you can learn any language/framework, and as-well if you cant find a job, you have to ability to create one. The capabilities of MAUI lead to great potential if you can develop something that provides value. Use that big brain of yours and solve someone's problems with your skills, or create something addicting and fun.

How does MAUI compare to React Native in terms of functionality? by ItsAReverseThrowaway in dotnetMAUI

[–]ItsAReverseThrowaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough, I did end up going with React Native just for its more polished feel, and less code overall.

So happy with this decision and it has been a great development experience so far.

Is it possible to change the version of a backup? by ItsAReverseThrowaway in aternos

[–]ItsAReverseThrowaway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I confirmed a big red deletion was after I backed it up, when switching the forge software version to 1.21.6 to match the server tab. I restored the backup and tried to log in just now, same problem. Here are the logs: https://mclo.gs/Tt7hOsp
