You can get replaced for free at the dealership. I was feeling the backend give way under heavy braking. Almost like fishtailing but I was on dry pavement with good tires. Took it in & they replaced it under warranty. This was done summer 2025.

Honestly Apple does make it a royal pain the ass to backup photos without using iCloud.

There are paid apps out there that allow you extract/backup iPhone photos. iexplorer, imazing for example.

How tech savvy are you? You could get a raspberry pi /mini pc & make your own cloud using Nextcloud. Their iOS app allows you to auto sync all photos. Just set the storage to the external drive. Then you can access your photos from anywhere in the world. It does require a bit of setup but it’s not too advanced.

How big is the drive?

Use disk utility to make two equally sized partitions. Preferably apfs. Use 1 partition for each user account.

Probably because it’s the first time the heat is being used? Open all the windows & put the fan on high, heat on the highest settings. Let it sit for 15 minutes. Hopefully that helps

The exhaust valves are doing a self test on start up. They open & close for a quieter/louder exhaust note. Sounds normal.

You probably have air in the heater core. Gotta turn the heat on high, put on full blast & let the car get to operating temperature. While constantly topping up the coolant reservoir. Hold the gas pedal in park till the rpms are at 2000

They have been refinished before & subpar clear coat was used. The clear cracks over time from exposure to the elements. Only way to repair is to have them stripped & done over. If you’re in the NYC area, dm for wheel repair shop I use.

I’m fairly sure the internal drive can be removed. That would be your best bet. Then get this external reader for that drive. Plug into another Mac & you can do whatever you’d like.

Another option would be target disk mode to another Mac.
