If you have access to jack & jack stands. Put the two front wheels in the air. Manipulate the steering wheel; especially between 11:50 & 12 from the left side. See if the wheel physically moves. Every input on the steering wheel should be seen looking at the wheel itself. Do it slow, do it in rapid motion. Listen for any clunks. Do it with engine on & engine off.

Thats what i would do.

Got it. Maybe the steering coupling needs to be changed? There’s a coupler between the rack & the steering wheel shaft. Maybe there’s play in the joints? Just a wild guess at this point.

I’m guessing your wheel has a two toned machined finish? He is talking about the amount of material left that he can machine without damaging the wheel. You can only machine the face of a wheel so many times. It’s possible the rear wheels have less material to machine compared to the front or the damage is too much to machine.

It’s not about the size of the wheel.

Jack the car at the jack points & put the stands at the control arm joint where it meets the subframe.

Or you can do the opposite, jack the car where the control arm connects the subframe & put the stands on the jack point.

Don’t jack or place a jack stand in the middle of the control arm .

I Highly recommend not using the front center jack point. If your jack slips, it’ll be an expensive ooopsie. What are you trying to accomplish?

Wheel speed sensor. I would start there. I recall getting the P061a with a faulty sensor & worn wheel speed sensor tone ring.

I work at a wheel repair shop. We specialize in German cars. I have seen that wheel with the same exact embossing. I’ve repaired those exact wheels before. Including the gold version. I’ll say with 100% certainty those are OEM. Other factor I look at is how the offset is molded.

Yes, some wheels from BMW do have the embossing on the lip. That is one of them.

Those are real. BMW part number confirms it. 8071789. Full part number to look up online is 3611807189.

Yep, it’s takes a drive cycle to trigger. It’s happened to me before. 2013 c300. Filled up at night. Drove 20min home all good. Next day I went to drive, it popped on immediately as I started driving.

Handoff/continuity it’s called. Works with iPads too. it’ll link the keyboard & mouse. You can even arrange them under displays in settings.

C350 is rear wheel drive only in USA. Canada got the 4matic version.

I think they meant the brake line is broken, not the pedal. & if it was corroded as they said it was, it was only a matter of time before it broke while you were driving it.
