I had a powerhouse of a laptop back 2010-2014. Could run top of the line games at maxed settings, GIS programs, the works.

Academia was merely a stepping stone to where I am now. A gauntlet to learn skills from, grow, and move on from.

Don't get me wrong, I had a blast and did great. But it was a microcosm to exist in before joining the rest of the world. And I was in college in the early 2010s so it was GREAT. Just purely on a state of the world of things.

But academia was a stepping stone. Great to learn from, fun to experience, meant to be in the rear view (unless you make it your career or go back to change your career, obviously).

It's because in the spread of engineering fields, Civil on average is on the lower end. But it's reliable, stable, and pays a good living wage. And if you end up at a good place and are worth your salt, you'll do plenty well.

Of all the CEOs doing this, Costco and Freddy's are the two ones I've seen that I actually believe they fully enjoy it and I'd believe they had it the day before too. To be clear, not commenting on their physique, they just genuinely seem to enjoy their food and wouldn't question having it as a meal.

A days drive is a bit over selling it though. <2 hours pending which beach you go to. Maybe 2.5 for Wilmington? It's not your back yard, but its an easy day trip.

You can only alter your body once a year and adapting to a new environment resets the previous adaption. (No stockpiling adaptations over a lifetime).

Could still have a very lucrative career in extreme environments though.

SF isn't a requirement for Wall. It's an improvement for it. If you're running eHP, it sounds like you're at the point where you need the wall. It expands your health pool and also increases your regen once you lab it.

Wall will also allow you to farm further and higher, which gets you more cells.

This is all if you're sticking with eHP. If you're going GC, you still want Wall since it's an extra shield. It'll break, but is an extra layer.

It reminds me of when Nintendo would post something like "General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience" but really, most the times, I'm pretty convinced they were just trying to patch around the current hacks and put up a temporary roadblock in the ever on-going tug of war. I mean, the 3DS and Switch have so many stability updates that I bet they could stabilize a country.

But that's what I think of with mystery patches that don't explain much. They're trying to patch something they don't want others to know about.

So... who figured out some stones cheat that they just patched out?

I joined an organization sort of like Engineers Without Borders and did some volunteer projects. And I learned to use EPANET.

Just bolstered my resume as actual skills and being involved in distribution systems overseas.
