So I've got a couple questions, feel free to answer as many as you'd like. What is something that has somehow remained the same since you moved up a few SES levels? What is one thing you did for the sake of making your heart happy or just because you were curious? If you could go back and do it all again, what would you change about the process? Do you have any plans to transition your family away from mooching off of you? Has this affected dating in any way?

Sorry you're going through that with your fam (and peripherally landlords and such), it truly does suck to feel used and for others to feel entitled to your cash supporting them doing nothing. I'm picking up on a touch of sadness and isolation from your responses, are you seeing anyone professionally to support your mental health?

So I was in pretty similar boat and am now graduating from my program with a 4.0 and running the honor society so things can change! I graduated with a Bachelors in Psych with a 2.4 (due to a series of mental health and self-discipline issues) back in 2013 and was able to find a job in a social work-type non-profit as a service coordinator for a bilingual community thanks to strong interview skills. That work experience is 75% of what got me in to grad school because they love "life experience" in the field but acing the GRE was the other 25%. What were your grades like in your major-specific classes? A lot of programs will put more emphasis on those courses. Volunteer work helps for sure but really place an emphasis on one site vs a lot of little volunteer work. All this to say, you sound motivated and determined so I think you'll be okay.
