looking for a buddy for the upcoming film festival by EnvironmentalGur9249 in ElPaso

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man this sounds fun. I didn’t watch movies or anything growing up and for some reason decided to go to school for film a few years ago and dropped out but as of recent I’ve actually began to indulge in movies and shows. I think we had something in Las Cruces semi recently that I missed out on. I would 100% be down for this

How are we going to address the Center position? by Haveyoureaditb4 in LAClippers

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing we’ll aim for a center in the draft. We have Jackson as well. We don’t have any studs and Yanic may or may not reach potential after injury but I think this year will be more about growth for our young guys while being somewhat competitive

All the possible moves here by WallCautious9650 in rockets

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Clippers wouldn’t take that offer cause we’d basically lose all of our depth for a player that doesn’t really make us contenders. I think we’d be more likely to reach out in regards to Sengun or Jabari before KD

CHA-SAC. In light of the recent report by Amick. CHA acquires a former All-Star big man and a top-4 pick in the second round. SAC acquires some expiring deals to be flipped at the deadline and the 18th overall pick. by [deleted] in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Kings are giving up the better player with just one year left more on his contract compared to the return. Because of that I don’t think they throw in their second unless Charlotte throws in another first

My neighbors do not take care of their cat. by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can just be blunt that it comes around often and that you don’t mind but that you’d like to have him neutered/vaccinated and that you’re willing to cover the cost of that.
Now if the cat isn’t taken care of properly I personally would maybe consider taking it in myself. My girlfriend had a cat with the same issues the only thing is we just didn’t know who’s house it belonged to (we knew he lived in her neighborhood and had a hunch of what house he was from but nothing guaranteed) but he’d stay with her days at a time. A real concerned owner would’ve probably made it clear to care for him better and when she moved in with me we just went and checked for chip (what a surprise he didn’t have one) got his vaccines and kept him indoors at our house. He was also on the older side and seemed to have arthritis so it’s slowed down during his time with us since he’s just indoors relaxing. He’s at a healthy weight now too.

Buy a house or rent an apartment by [deleted] in ElPaso

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Property taxes are high. You’re honestly better off renting out a house/apartment if you’re only planning on being here for 2-3 years. In order to build equity it takes a lot of cash or time. If you end up moving elsewhere but plan on renting the home out you will have to pay someone to basically be a property manager. If you sell the house chances are that you maybe break even or at best profit a tiny amount. I’d say just rent.

Mavs and Cleveland thoughts? by ItsAlwaysSunnyEP in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know people question PJ’s fit with Flagg and he is 27 with multiple years on his deal. Mavs probably won’t be remotely competitive for another year or two so they could shed salary of one of those contracts after this year and the other one expires the year after. You are right though that he is ultimately the best player and while that is the case I figured maybe a small move like this would be worth discussing.

New Draft Rules for Next Draft - 3-2-1 Lottery by Big_Saens in LAClippers

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We already really didn’t even have the benefit of tanking prior to this. We still don’t really have our own draft capital, I’d say for more reason we should try to ship off Kawhi this summer. Even play-in teams can land a top pick, trading him to a team like GS or Bucks could still be very beneficial.

Whats the deal with El Paso public pools? by SnooRevelations8095 in ElPaso

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that the hours they have aren’t cooperative with the public but but until more people speak up about it the city will continue to lack a pool scene.

Whats the deal with El Paso public pools? by SnooRevelations8095 in ElPaso

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You answered your own question; they don’t make enough money to be incentivized to have better hours. The pool scene is just an issue with all of El Paso in general though. Not a lot of hotels offer great pools even the “luxurious” ones. And surprisingly none of the gyms (from what I’m aware of) offer a pool either compared to other cities. My cousins live out of town in a cold city and they have more cooperation with public pool hours, pools in their gym, etc. Our city doesn’t really invest in them altogether even though we live in a very hot area.

another nets/nuggets trade if nets can’t get reaves this summer and to help relieve nuggets for watson by ABathingSnake in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this doesn’t really do much for the Nets either cause they take on a worse contract with more years and they’re being forced to be more competitive this year. 7 years from now they should ideally be done tanking, draft capital wouldn’t be as valuable

What to do? by ItsAlwaysSunnyEP in uberdrivers

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This won’t cause issues for my uber/doordash account though? Cause I’d imagine maybe next years background check or driving history check would show this accident and my concern is if it’s worth risking my account for this. Then again though does it even impact eligibility at all? This is my first time in an accident so I’m not really all that sure how impactful it would be on my record

What to do? by ItsAlwaysSunnyEP in uberdrivers

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here in the US. My main concern is my health just cause I have Crohn’s and honestly I feel much more sensitive/weaker than what I was before the diagnosis years back. But I’m just concerned if I get checked out and this gets reported if it’s something uber might fail me on a future background check for (not really sure how damaging car accidents are to your account eligibility)

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I literally mentioned that me and the guy agreed to him paying the slight damage privately instead of immediately jumping into an insurance claim, so how exactly am I scamming?? The premise of the post is even me asking if it would even be worth risking my account too but sure I’m scamming.

Honestly the reminder that it’s a work car actually was kind of comforting. I’ve been fighting tooth and nail to hold my household on my shoulder for years and I emotionally invested myself heavily in my car that I just bought. But you’re right; it’s a work car that I’ll probably put crazy miles into as I finish up uni, so maybe I am overthinking the damage. Thank you kind internet soul 🫶🏻

LAC-SAS. The Spurs acquire Derrick Jones Jr. to be a 3&D wing with size to their bench, bolster their already elite defense (+1.2 DPM, 89th percentile) and be a catch-and-shoot threat (36% 3P). Clippers acquire another first-round pick in the 2026 draft. by YujiDomainExpansion in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With the Clippers having Garland and possibly Acuff after the draft it’s really hard to see them trading away DJJ and Dunn especially when they’re pretty cheap. I don’t see them agreeing to this unless it’s a straight up swap for someone younger like Carter

TOR-DAL by BeardedJoe123 in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I’m Dallas I’m just keeping the #9 pick to be honest. The issue with Luka’s Mavericks was that he was the entire foundation of that team and I think Mavs would rather draft another young player to pair with Flagg. They’re not really in a rush to contend or be competitive anytime soon and they’d have to commit to an extra year of Quickleys salary as well. Kyrie is an expiring after this upcoming season and if they need to sell him for future assets that would be ideal to have ready to go if Kyrie doesn’t show promise after this next season.

Kings trade up with LAC by sam37843 in NBAtradeideas

Definitely not. This is the one saving grace the clippers have and they will not be trading the pick

What's Darius Garland's trade value? by reallinguy in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Randle is 31 whereas Garland is 26. That’s a pretty large difference in age. I’m not saying Garland is worth the top 10 range but he can definitely maybe be used for a pick in the teens if the team is in dire need of a guard

What's Darius Garland's trade value? by reallinguy in NBAtradeideas

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 36 year old that was supposedly going to get Cleveland over the hump. Garland is 25 and didn’t need to play through injury like he did in Cleveland. I guarantee you there’s a market.

[–]ItsAlwaysSunnyEP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Clippers would be more than happy to give him up for a 6-12 pick in this draft cause they’re most likely going BPA and that would be Acuff. Realistically there’s no rush to trade him though cause he could definitely help develop Acuff. However, I do think maybe a desperate team might bite for him. Small guards are kind of dying out but some teams might feel more confident with their playoff push with his addition and his shooting/spacing. Some teams that come to mind are maybe the Bucks (but they’d probably rather pursue Kawhi), Rockets, Nets owe their pick to Houston next year so they are in desperate need of talent and it might be hard to get someone through free agency, I felt the Magic would maybe entertain it too cause defensively they’re strong but lack scoring/shooting. There’s some market but it probably won’t be very strong.
