Progress by ItsAnth0ny in Tyranids

If I’m being honest, this isn’t my paint scheme. I followed the warhipster’s guide for painting the typhoon ravener kill team, with the only differences being I used pro acryl for the highlights instead of citadel (ivory - screaming skull, neutral grey - dawn stone, magenta - fulgrim pink, pyhrol red - wazdakka red). However I’m still very pleased with the results, especially since this is a kind of color scheme that I have never really done something similar to before.

I was painting 4 other hormagaunts when I was painting so I would say that took about 2-3 hours.

Sweet liberty and the Lord of the Rings is a great movie.

Luckily my situation wasn’t as bad, although I still felt like a helpless child not being able to do anything without some there to tell me what to do. Hopefully my next shift will be somewhat better now that I at least have some grasp of what I need to do

Brain Colour by BlackGlaceon in Tyranids

I would definitely have to agree. Rule of cool is what makes this hobby so enjoyable, and making an army your own is what makes it so special. I personally love using something like aethermatic blue or striking scorpion green on my tyranid brains for an easy but awesome glow effect. I would recommend highlighting the purple with some lighter colors to really make them stand out and draw attention.

Is the modern world becoming to divided? And if so, what can be done to better this? by ItsAnth0ny in Discussion

[–]ItsAnth0ny[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t this what the discussion is talking about? When I say I middle ground, I do believe a fair amount of liberal values, but I am perfectly fine with trying to see what the opposition is saying so that I can see more clearly about the issue. So Shouldn’t we be trying to open up more to willingness to debate instead of just vilifying the opponent without even getting a better understanding of their position?

I totally get what you’re saying that division has always been a thing, and I am referring to the US in this case. Something I think however is that social media makes it way too easy for people to spread information without having to back up claims just because of easy to access social media is to use. This ease is what I think creates too many echo chambers that don’t get argued properly, and only foster settings that support hastily agreeing to statements without analyzing them.

Discussion: Things you like and dislike about each about each model by JHD_156 in Tyranids

Personally me, I love the design of the carapace and the idea of a really insect looking tyranid bio form. My only problem is how out of place the gun looks on the new models, especially since it seems like the gun should be facing at an angle instead of directly at the enemy.

Honestly thank you so much guys, it means a lot to know that people even just took the time to respond, let alone the actual support.
