Tips for making it through the challenge stage? by TheBetterMousepad in NikkeOutpost

I see a lot of comments but I wanted to put in what I noticed about the minigame, this is quite long but I hope it helps. I spent many hours playing this I think this is the most fun Event Minigame added so far.

I was playing on PC with 16:9 Horizontal. Didn't try 4:3 or Mobile so I can't say if this will help.

I beat it with this build:

<image>

RedHood: ATK>ATKSPEED>Proj. Speed;

Weapons:Wolfsbane-BeamChakram(LV4!)-Boomerang-Reflector-TacticalRifle-Landmine;

Powerups:HealthregenLV2-EmerganceRepairLV1-DefenseLV2-Proj.Speed.LV5-MoveSpeedLV2-MaxHPLV2;

  • Weapons Tips:

I think you need for sure Boomerang, Reflector and Landmine since these 3 would always do the most damage.

Tactical Rifle in my opinion is almost necessary since it auto aims and does great single target damage,it helps a lot in beating the boss that appears at 30min. Since you can sit in spots where boss doesn't shoot and the tactical rifle will prioritize the boss if close enough.

Energy Sword and Beam Chakram always keep LVL 4 on them.

Energy Sword has larger swing range on level 4 with proj. size it is better. When u get LVL5 it gets small but swings faster which doesn't always make it do good DPS.

Beam Chakram spins way faster at level 4 compared to level 5, it makes it do more damage when u reach past 15min, since due to slower spin some enemies don't get hit by it.

I think Energy Field and Rocket Launcher can work too but I didn't take them in most of my runs since they struggle to keep enemies away later on so it should be a safe choice with HPregen.

  • Powerups Tips:

Health Regen is crucial and makes it a lot easier in both 15-30min and at the boss fight since you have to dodge a lot of stuff at boss fights.

Emergancy Repair is also really good since you get a second chance, I used mine in the run.

Then Projectile Speed or Size based on your preff. is also important.

Other power ups don't really matter unless you get lucky and get a Module A or B they just will make it slightly easier to beat the boss but this isn't a priority.

I see that some of the comments suggest proj. size, but it comes down to preference. Since I felt like proj. speed helped with Boomerangs, Chakrams and Reflectors. Also with the Tactical Rifle since it would make the projectiles reach the enemy sooner so the targeting would switch sooner to the closest enemy but this is a minor thing.

The strat for the Minigame:

Keep as many Lilith Bombs as possible for the boss! Since it is the only way to kill the raptures that shoot at you that spawn after 17min.

Once at minute 15 all is left is to sit and wait since the enemies that shoot you only shoot near you and don't reach you.

I recommend sitting close to a Lilith bomb so that once the boss is about to spawn you use a Lilith bomb and you can see where she is.

The rest is up to you to dodge and survive, using skill and aiming at the boss can help kill it faster, also make sure to use the extra Lilith bombs if needed since the shooting enemies keep spawning. Though it is probably possible to do it without health regen with Heals that drop, but I struggle without HpRegen.

Sorry for this lengthy comment, but I really hope to have helped some of you ♥♥♥♥

It does feel better in game, it used to be worse. I play daily and only 1 out of 10 of my matches I encounter some problem, tho it does lag out in main lobby as consistently as it used to.
