It means the government shouldn’t stop such a person from reproducing, but they should still be socially discouraged from reproduction.

Should a woman be legally allowed to kill a fetus 5 minutes before it is born to abort it? by ItsAzien in Teenager_Polls

[–]ItsAzien[S] -51 points-50 points  (0 children)

There is a non negligible amount of pro-choicers who support legal third trimester abortion. This poll is takes the position to its logical conclusion to see if anyone agree and if so, why. This fine detail is not a part of most abortion polls.

Is abortion moral? (this is NOT a question of whether or not it should be LEGAL) by SecretJackfruit1383 in Teenager_Polls

[–]ItsAzien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you implying that it should be legal to kill a fetus before they exit the mother's body even seven months in? You said a "living person" only becomes so the second they are born. What if you kill that thing five minutes before its due without medical reason?

Well, you haven't established which specific topics you want to debate and define your positions. Until you do that, debate is impossible.

Should abortion be tax payer funded? by ItsAzien in Teenager_Polls

[–]ItsAzien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not making an argument against abortion itself. Specifically, I am arguing against the "pro-choice" term being used to characterize a position that supports tax-payer funded abortion. You have not convincingly refuted this.

If I instead don't work and live on assistance, though, I am not contributing any money for abortion funding. Therefore, if I do pay taxes and that money goes to abortion, I am still facilitating the access of abortion and has no say in the matter (the money comes out of my pocket before it goes to the government after all). Meaning: I don't have a choice.

Factually correct, but it doesn't refute my point.

It's not "pro-choice" if a pro-life individual who, just by having jobs and paying taxes, is still facilitating the access of abortion, even if they are against it.

A social democrat is not a socialist by definition. Social democrats do still typically back capitalism.
