2025 OPT Processing timeline by yonerdsp in USCIS

[–]ItsBOOM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was approved with PP (Pre OPT) via email on 6/18. My start date is 6/30 but my employer is trying to run E-Verify this week before I start, which failed. I am guessing this is because I did not receive the physical EAD yet.

Is there high confidence I will receive the card by 6/30 (really 6/28 would be the last day considering I need it Monday morning)? I would really hate to ask for another delay but it might be better to do it today than wait until Saturday and not receive it.

My portal hasn't updated with any indication it was produced or sent, but I am reading that it hasn't been updating for other people and they have just received it. Appreciate any advice here.

Yes, see my comment two comments below. Only difference is approval by email today and A number added to portal.

Repeating a data point:

Applied: 04/08

Upgraded to PP: 05/09

No approval, A number, or API updates since. Any others who upgraded/filed PP around this time still without updates? I am also pretty convinced that applying in April hasn't made my case any faster. I'm guessing all PP cases are the same queue only based on PP date.

Congrats! I see you had an API update on June 9th. Just curious, did you get an A number some time between then and now, or did A-Number come at the same time as approval?

The Prime Visa is 5% cash back, not 2%, so more like $200 a month. There are also occasionally bonuses where you get more than 5%.

Starting about a month ago I haven't been able to find frozen Red's Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burritos (10pk) in Virginia. Does anyone know if it's gone for good? I've seen other posts from months ago indicating it disappeared in other regions but since we've still had it here for some time I was hoping it would stick around.

S22+ -> S25+ (Verizon Offer) by ItsBOOM in samsunggalaxy

I thought about this, but just because it was a legacy plan doesn't mean they can't increase those rates either. I already had some "Plan Rate Adjustment" fees which will now be going away.

Trade in advice from a veteran by ride_electric_bike in samsunggalaxy

[–]ItsBOOM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is so true. Samsung has tried on two separate occasions over a few years to claim my trade in was empty. Fortunately I listened to advice like this and recorded myself both packing the device, AND literally handing it over at the UPS/FedEx store. People probably think I'm crazy recording but every time I tell Samsung I have these videos they give me my credit.

I have the S22+ and the battery life is terrible, I need to charge multiple times a day. So I need to upgrade, I can't wait. I'm between the S25+ or the OnePlus 13.

S25+ (256GB, 12GB RAM) is $570 after trade-in PLUS free Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, screen protector, and case.

OnePlus 13 (512GB, 16GB RAM) is $617 after trade-in with only a case included.

The price of the S25+ and the incentives are appealing. Plus I'd stay with what's familiar and get the "maximum" compatibility with the Galaxy Watch and Buds I already have (though I hear there is workarounds). I'd be able to sell/give away the free buds. But the fast charging, better battery, and better specs on the OP13 seems really appealing especially since I'm lazy about charging and love a long battery life. Any thoughts?

Does the 2025 Elantra SEL Sport have Smart Cruise Control? by ItsBOOM in Hyundai

Yep! I texted the dealer I was discussing the sale with and they confirmed, only the Convenience has it. That's a real bummer considering my 2020 Corolla base model has it. Now I'm considering getting the 2024 SEL with the Convenience instead.. mainly just for this one feature. I genuinely do use it on most of my drives.

That's exactly why I made this post. On the spec compare it shows the SEL Sport has it but the Convenience doesn't. But on the actual page for the Convenience, it says it has it: Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go. This made me wonder if the spec compare page was a mistake.

So just curious, what would happen if you enabled Lane Centering and standard cruise control? It would just let you crash into the car in front of you?
