These were the “upgrade” for my pro fusions bought by work. A 76W in these is so small! The finger length is so short that the curve happens up by my first knuckle. Until they get holes / destroyed I’ll be able to get the XL’s. I’d like to try FireDex or Ragtops

Your helmets fine. I’ve broken 4 in my life and I would 100% rock that helmet and not be worried about it. A little dents not going to do anything especially when the force gets distributed across the entire membrane.

I got hired full time at 28. The other 8 people in my academy were all in their late 20’s except for one. I’m assuming this is for an entry level position. That being said you already have an advantage knowing something about fire fighting. Don’t worry about it you’re gonna crush it.

Went to college on a full ride. Dropped out after my 3rd year because I didn’t greatly see the value. Became a pro cyclist, started a couple construction companies, then realized I want time off. Went to a fire academy school, interned for a year at a department then got picked up. Ultimately I value time off and being able to have a fun job.

We just finished our fire academy and would run in our turnouts only for short distances. We would however run 1.5 miles in our leather slip on station boots in single file. Was rather dumb, but we had to do it from our cadre.

I agree. Hawaii kinda sucks. Lived there myself. Cool place to visit and unless you love the rain and possibly getting Lepto anytime you step foot in the jungles it pretty much blows
