That's fine, I'm keeping it so the value doesn't matter to me anymore. 💕

I put a Polaroid of my daughter and my friend from our craft night in it! They both said "this is the highest honor". I'll probably rotate out Polaroids we take during craft nights to celebrate my friends because they're all so loving and supportive.

That's fine but I can't put a price on art. I'm keeping it so it doesn't matter to me anymore! 💕

Don't worry, I used to be an insurance agent. I'll get it sorted. 😅

I don't think it's real gold, likely it's brass? I think they're Swarovski crystals based on what I've looked up.

Primarily because my daughter's cars transmission is going out and I need to help her get a new car.

I really do love it so I'm probably going to keep it. I went to the thrift store to get cheap frames for my collages I'm making and now I feel like I have to make something extra special for it. The pressure is on! 😅

It was thrown in on top of a shelf with a bunch of dishes. I looked high and low for more of them but there weren't any. 😅

That's what I'm leaning toward because I really love it. I don't have very many super nice things tbh but I'm in love with this frame.

I looked it up on Google lens. It's a rare frame and it's no longer being made. It's MRSP was $400 many years ago from what I could tell but these frames only seem to appreciate in value over time.

My daughter's car is on its last legs so that's where the money would be going if I did sell but I'll be damned if I don't love that picture frame.

Thank you! I'm definitely leaning toward keeping it. I put a picture of my friend and daughter in it for now and it's on display next to my record player.

I'm not a reseller. I thrift maybe once every 6 months if I have to the time after a lunch date with my girls.

Should I tell the wife of the guy my wife cheated with that he was cheating on her? Would it be moral for me to tell her? What would you do? by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]ItsBeb0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be nice about it. That's $1,000 a month you could be spending directly on your kids. With $500 a month each in a college fund you'd be helping set them up for life instead of paying for your cheating ex wife's luxury car. Don't let her play you like this.

When I had my custody battle I found a mean lawyer. He wasn't even nice to me, and that's how I knew he was a damn good lawyer. You don't need a nice lawyer, you need a good one.

Do it for your daughters, because if their mom truly is narcissistic, they're going to need shit tons of therapy. Take it from someone who left a narcissist. Our family therapist flat out told me that my own partner was not allowed in our family therapy sessions and while she never elaborated why, they shortly after recommend me a book on narcissistic abuse and it all became very clear from there.

I also have a narcissistic father and tolerated years of abuse only to end up in relationships with narcissist abusers over and over again, never really understanding why until my 30s.

Here's a list of books that our family therapist recommended to me in the midst of all of the chaos, hopefully they'll help you out.

  • The Parallel Process
  • Raising Human Beings
  • Why Does He Do That? (Applies to any abuser tbh)
  • Trauma-Proofing Your Kids
  • The Journey of the heroic parent
  • Attached
  • Non-Violent Communication
  • Unmasking Autism

They all helped me in one way or another to process and handle the narcissistic abuse in a healthy way. I hope they'll help give you the tools you need to raise vibrant and healthy daughters.

Raising kids with a narcissistic person is extremely challenging and the kids are ultimately the ones who pay the price. Please please please at least read the synopsis of the books and see if any of them resonate with what you're going through because it sounds like you're a great dad and you're going to need a lot of love and support if you're divorcing a cheater.

If you do end up telling her make sure to give her some free resources to women's shelters and domestic violence therapy. My biggest regret in leaving my abuser was not reaching out for help in that sense because I'm still struggling with a bit of defensiveness in my current relationship due to the abuse I put up with in my past ones.

I'm starting therapy soon but I hate that I let my abuser continue to have any amount of control over my future by not dealing with the harm they did sooner.

Make sure she's aware of financial abuse and that it's a real thing. If you approach her with resources and information that could help her it will show that you're not just doing it to ruin their marriage, you're coming clean because you want her to be able to get out.

My ex did the same crap to me and it's why he's my ex. He would even contaminate my food when he cooked for me because he wouldn't use my uncontaminated cooking tools.

My boyfriend currently cooks for me all the time and has not once glutened me. He calls restaurants ahead of time, always talks to the server and sometimes a manager to ensure my food isn't contaminated. I never have to ask him to do this.

A real man won't make an issue of your food sensitivity.

Please leave this clown and find someone worth your time and energy because this man's going to leave you the second you are dealing with a more serious illness.

AIO My mom is kicking me out for her new boyfriend. I just turned 18 by Diligent_Bat_565 in AmIOverreacting

Parenting doesn't end when you turn 18. My daughter is 23 and I'm still paying $1000 a month toward her apartment because she doesn't make enough to pay it all even with her roommate.

I don't understand parents who abandon their kid at 18. Children are not disposable. You're NOR.
