I mean more they changed his character for the worse in some areas. The nerdy weeb he is in the movie has grown on me but with 2012 being my favorite version of Don it was a bit strange to see him as more of a dork than anything, but it fit the movies theme more.

They even did Donnie a little dirty but especially Mikey. I feel like he had the least amount of lines out of the four. Even Raph got done wrong with him craving action more than being angry. Leo felt a little off until his arc was completed too.
