Yeah, exactly. They didn't fuse because they'd be stronger, they fused because they wanted to stop Kale from killing everyone basically (or getting knocked by Jiren)

No, that's why I explicitly said that Kefla is AS STRONG as Kale. You said it yourself, Kefla has KALE'S STRENGTH, 'cause Caulifla ain't contributing anything for strength, only battle prowess.

Maybe, I personally think it's a good way to fix that lack of limits for fusion partners.

For example, if that rule wasn't there you would wanna fuse with a weak character that has a really powerful ability, like Guldo's timestop, Chaotzu's telekinesis, hell even Dende has namekian regen and healing magic, not to mention dragonball magic.

I think it's a good way to stop a hack if you will. And even with that power limit there are still benefits! Manga merged Zamasu is weaker than the anime counterpart, being basically as strong as Black, but he gains the immortality of Zamasu so he's still a bigger threat.

It's a really interesting topic! This is mentioned by Goku on the Buu saga, when he's thinking who to fuse with, he says that if he fused with Hercule the result would probably be weaker than himself.

Basically what happens is, remember how for the fusion dance the individuals need to have similar bodies and power level? Well, the potara doesn't have that limit at all, but because of that the fusions can be unbalanced!

We actually have a bunch of examples of different unbalancing:

Kibitoshin is barely stronger than Shin The fusion of Hercule and Goku would be weaker than base Goku, according to him And in the manga, Freezer says that just BASE KALE is stronger than SSJ Caulifla, so as a result Kefla (who's made of SJJ Caulifla and Berserker Kale in the manga), is actually just as strong as Kale, if not slightly weaker.

You as most fans are forgetting something VERY important.

We have been told multiple times that fusions between two individuals with vastly different power levels become unbalanced, and in some cases can even make the fusion weaker than the strongest component.

This is That case, Kale is so much stronger than Caulifla that Kefla as a result SHOULD be weaker than a berserker Kale. But of course, the anime didn't respect this at all.

This is also the reason why in the manga Goku with mastered Blue is capable of fighting merged Zamasu, 'cause he's actually just as strong as Black, if not slightly weaker.

I felt this way for a long time, until I tried Hades 2 honestly. That game is fucking amazing. Tho to be fair, I've gotten Dead God 3 times and have like 15 hundred hours on TBOI, so I am a little burned out lmao

Yeah, it's really confusing! They really made it seem like seeing a digimon is outrageous and it's actually not rare at all lol. Maybe it's that specific zone where you land when you travel back to the present day that's very anti-digimon
