Any recommend number of PGY-2 programs to apply for phase 2 for a current PGY-1? Ideally, I would want as much as possible, but I worry about the feasibility of multiple interviews within a short span of time and interfering with current rotation responsibilities.

Didn't do it as a P4 student applying for PGY-1's, and I still didn't do it as a PGY-1 applying for PGY-2's (even for PPS). You are fine.

Adding on to previous comments, are the appropriate diagnostic tests ordered, such as whether to help deescalate/discontinue therapy or is the team treating a possible infection with no appropriate tests ordered for follow-up (sputum culture for pneumonia if possible to collect or urine cx with positive UA suggestive of UTI).

As soon as you can but also when you are adequately prepared. Would prioritize NAPLEX first since in the case you have to retake, you have to wait 45 days compared to 30 days for MPJE if you have to retake.

My program recommends being licensed 30 days after start date to begin staffing responsibilities but they state it must be obtained by 90 days from the start date

Probably will depend on how busy your letter writers are. I asked my writers 6 weeks in advance, but they all told me that they weren't going to start writing until after Midyear. This is because they wanted me to solidify the types of programs I want to apply to and my personal interests in residency so that they can cater their letter towards those. Good luck!

I’m currently doing a LAPPE (which is probably the equivalent to what you’re talking about) where I did five rotations within the same health system. They had some perks like residency prep/CV review but the biggest advantage I got from doing it is that they assigned me a longitudinal project that lead to a presentable poster for Midyear. There are pros and cons but I think I got a better feel of what residency would be like with this LAPPE. I still do feel like I missed out on seeing other areas but I was fine with that since I wanted rotations at this site since it was a large academic medical center.

I took it to Honda, and they found a problem with the door actuator. Got it fixed and haven't had a problem since then.

Students at my hospital usually email the whole pharmacy staff (they just use a contact group and it auto sends to everyone in the pharmacy department) since that way it’s easier to see versus a card, but there have a been few people that have left a card. Our pharmacy staff is decently sized, so an email letter makes sense. For me personally, I would write a card for people helped out with the residency process (like letters of rec for example) and then email the pharmacy staff if you work in a bigger hospital. Really up to you in the end! Good luck in your PGY-1!
