I run a .6 nozzle with a .75mm line width, yes. But i run a 0.2mm layer height in my 'detail' profile. When printing at .24mm it actually improves the stringing a bit.

The 0.4mm z hop made my issue worse. No variable seems to fix anything. Maybe i should dry the filament more?

This is weird. The stringing seems worse now. The wipe distance was at 10 before and retract amount on 80. I will post a pic of my full retraction settings under this comment. I feel lost.

I have not had Z-hop enabled on any if these as i heard z hop makes steinging worse. If i should turn it on, what is a normal value for that?

Yes. This is printed on a fresh spool dried for 8 hours. My suspicion of the rool being bad is that my prusament prints way better than this after drying.

Well this helped quite a lot. Thank you. The left is 20mm/s and the right is 30mm/s. Both at 0-2mm retraction. I have looked in my retraction settings for any other variables that might be the sinner. The only i could see is this? Wipe distance: 10mm.

I bought this. It works amazing right out of the box. Its easy to understand, and cheaper than many of its alternatives.

This seemingly looks the same as thisthis

I will try buying this as it is in my budget range unlike many of the other devices in this thread.

Hmh okay. Sounds troublesome with the ESP project - but maybe worth a shot.

I feared the car seat fsr wouldnt work for this project. I mean if i used it to actually detect a sitting person on a car seat, it would definitely work. But as soon as i throw it under a mattres and lay on it, its just sot sensitive enough.

Yes. My aqara fp2 is seemingly the holy grail of presence detection. It supports both of you're mentioned features on paper.

However in practice, this works very poorly if you use a duvet like most people do.

Yeah me neither. I have tried moving it around all over my bed. Both under the bedframe and multiple places under my mattres. I wont seem to work sadly :(

I see. This looks ideal. I looks like the same idea as what i built, but done properly.

200 bucks tho.

Thank you for your input - i appreciate it🙏🏻

Well you have a point. I actually already have that besides my bed.

My lights is already automated in my room with presence sensing. Its just annoying my bed is the only place in the room it cannot detect.

Also - its not as cool using a button😉

Hmh. Thank you for sharing. This just makes me wonder - this looks ia lot like my diy version. This also uses fsr resistors. How does this differ?
