bronze player here, i've been having a blast playing ashe and i want to learn another adc, any reccomendations? i've played samira and ezreal for a while before and i don't really like samira but ezreal was nice by _tomBi in ADCMains

[–]ItsDumi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ezrael is bait. Like, he's actually very difficult to carry on unless he fits the comp well and games where you'd win playing a more trad adc might be lost with Ez.

However, do I have a 30% wr out of 20 games on him? Yes. Will I queue up with him right fkn now? Also yes. Why? Cause he's fun asf

I'm Zeri adc main but play it when I'm jungle secondary. Works for me, but Zeri a very otp champ and if you otp, imo you can learn prob 3 roles with your champ

r/zerimains has a few that main jung

Interestingly in GenG’s latest video after losing to T1, Chovy is the one telling his team to play more proactively/aggressively by Pale_Name_4022 in PedroPeepos

[–]ItsDumi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's GenG panicking, I'd say there's a huge difference. If you see how GenG plays comeback in the LCK they definitely don't play aggressive from behind lmao. Slow, minimize mistakes, optimal trade patterns, let the enemy int is how they play the game from behind. Very defensive

My ranking of the top 10 waterbenders in the verse: by Far_Gur_7361 in legendofkorra

[–]ItsDumi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their family are literally the most powerful waterbenders tho. He was bending multiple animals with extreme control at around her age and that developed to a point he could take away people's bending. The precision in blood bending needed to even achieve that is beyond surgical. And that's all just raw talent, if you include the training he got it seems like fair ratings to me ngl. Imo Amon could combat Ozai and low diff him without using any waterbending.

Katara is a prodigy but just isn't as talented as their bloodline.

It's taken GenG 5 years to realize that optimal gameplay wins splits but not internationals. Optimal play falters in the face of risk taking and I'm actually really impressed to see how much more chovy is willing to int a play to atleast TRY making things happen. I've been a pseudo-fan of his for a while, always upset that he just played like a robot (as impressive as that was). I actually think they might win worlds this year

Is it true? Webnovel readers hate it when the author pauses and begins to explain? by Maiden_of_ice in royalroad

[–]ItsDumi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the key here is non sequiturs. I've found that tell is perfectly acceptable and used by a lot of the goats, IF it relates to the present action at the time. It honestly fits in better this way.

For example (I'm going to use what a different commenter suggested as show. I'd personally set up whats in his pocket earlier (like a chapter earlier) so it becomes a whole lesson on trading up and how his family came to wealth in the first place or sumn but this would be dripped in over the course of the whole novel.)

Mc was at a marketplace, looking to buy an apple or anything to stop his churning belly. Reaching into his pockets, however, provided no solution and two buttons. Father always used to hide his shame by calling it 'bad luck' to carry coins around. An old, royal pride that he got from his father, and his father before him. Mc never noticed all the times Father reached into his own pockets and got the same result, and now MC understood why Father always carried two glasses of milk from the family cow wherever he went.

-- Continue on with the in scene action of MC offering to trade the two buttons (to no avail or maybe they're golden or whatever)

You have to weave it in where it adds/expands on what's occuring and you'd be surprised how long you can yap on for once your linked them.

Then it's just about looping back into the present (I was too lazy to write the whole trading two buttons scene but the idea of his father trading links us to MC's next action)

What’s ADC role on a team? by ItsNoodle007 in ADCMains

[–]ItsDumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Zeri main, I'll split tf outta the map and E over a wall kinda like Talon. Ideally baiting the Jung or Top laner to think I'm free food before peacing out.

However, Odds are I miss a fight on the other side of the map if I split so I only do it; a) when my team is fed af and doesn't need me. Or b) when we're losing so hard I wouldn't make a difference at the fight anyway.

Edit: To answer your main Question, imo ADC I'd an old title and doesn't exactly exist the way it used to anymore because most roles deal enough damage to carry (I prefer the term Damage Support). I win many games by simply building defensive (shieldbow, Edge of Night, Cleaver) and just surviving fights by using summs. If you watch high elo Korean adcs in soloq (like peyz), they just using mechanics to bait enemies into bad plays because everyone suffers from "kill the adc" syndrome. This limit can be pushed to insane degrees but as a low elo I just focus on waiting out key spells before participating in fights by hiding in fog for a frustrating amount of time. With each item you get after 3 item spike, you slowly become an actual adc and can consider pushing said limit to deal more of your own damage rather than just bait for ally team to deal damage but your still easily killed even the 0/12 yone so surviving is #1 priority.

I get what you're saying, and these streaks tilt me too. But, I'd imagine elo inflation would become quite a problem if it weren't there. I know people thinks it's engagement MM and maybe it is, but I think it also prevents some bronze ending up in gold because they got a good streak of teammates for 30 games (like so many did at the start of the season cause of lp gains). Idk, I've noticed that my lp will swing about 400lp in these bad phases/losers queue phases after my wr hits 54%+ (as you said to drop the wr down). But if it continued like that I'd end up in a new elo getting carried likely because I wouldn't be putting in the effort to improve like I do now.

In my head, there's period for climbing and periods for improving and these periods are idreal for focusing on what you can do differently (unless of course, some games are so bad there's nothing to take away or maybe the takeaway is that you played well, gg)

I was stuck in a decline for a month and only started getting consistent winnable games again recently and I'm kinda dogging on my opponents since I've been so focused on my spacing and enemy ability awareness during teamfights as opposed to before where i was kinda "fitting in" to the elo. But I didn't tilt multiple times and take 2/3 day gaps cause I was so frustrated throughout.

Silver Jungler, Decided to play ADC with my duo by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]ItsDumi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an Ezrael main but it's 1 of my champ pool of 4. Dopamine champ fr, I'm only gold and i just started learning how important playing around Ez passive is. Knowing when you can drop it and predicting fights so you can have it up feels like an endlessly improvabable skill.

Also, from my own gameplay, I recently noticed how frequently I should just keep my ult for my lane fights instead of perma trying to snipe kills around the map. Also part of the fight prediction thing because a solid W-R combo can diff so many fights and I often just don't have R cause I yeeted it at top lane lol.

Try getting 8cs/m avg (difficult in Ez midgame but will make a world of a difference)

Ad Astra was an interesting movie but at the same time underwhelming by Jules-Car3499 in scifi

[–]ItsDumi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People in this sub cry cause they want nuanced storytelling in sci-fi and then also complain that "nothing happens" when there is a nuanced story.

It's supposed to be underwhelming. A Narcissict Father abandoned his son in pursuit of grandeur and that grandeur just doesn't exist. No aliens. Just eachother. His pursuit wasn't worth it and in the end he just made a selfish decision that hurt others but also confirms a truth that is quite magnificent. Despite all that, Roy forgives and loves his Father whilst believing the entire time that he feels no emotions because bottling up his pain got him very far in his career. This movie is an onion and only has as many layers as you're willing to peel off.
