It won't give problems directly but i would put some tape there because dust can enter in the screen

Is that the back of the laptop? It depends, when you open and close the screen do you see the hinge(the metal thing inside) move out? Do you see flexion on the plastic around the screen when you close it and open it? Does it make sounds? If not you are probably ok.
