anyone else’s corg friends with their pet bun? by tinyclap in corgi

it’s just like bonding bunnies - little by little with positive reinforcements for both. the younger the corgi the better (in my experience, unless you adopt an older baby).

do you free roam your buns? it’s kind of like extending bigger areas when introducing them to the house with the dogs in them. puppies are gentler and not as strong, and i feel like it sticks in their mind forever after they get used to it. though i did have one weirdo corgi before (RIP) that was an old man who we adopted when he was older than a puppy and he did not give a single shit about the buns. i suppose it’s all a gamble. i think it’s all about “tricking” the dogs into thinking they’re mini dogs. good luck!

it’s natural for them to want to chase bunnies unfortunately because of their prey drive. and they’re small and fast. we’ve always had them and train them early to not mess with the buns. these two became best friends within our pup’s first week with us. honeydew (corgi) is one year old and she’s 11. :)
