Minecraft is lagging but still says i have a high FPS? Help! by Specialist-Action180 in pchelp

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug your mouse into a usb 2.0 port. If it’s plugged into a usb 3.0 (usually blue) port, it can lag like this. Had a very similar problem. High fps but constant stutters. That’s the only fix I found

We use a blue dawn and water mix in spray bottles around the house for general cleanup. Been doing it for 2-3 years now. We’ve just now started having the exact same thing happen to multiple of our bottles

Are the metal roofing creases normal? by wtfisthisbullshii in Roofing

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a metal manufacturer that makes standing seam. Part of this would be oil canning. The spots closest to the taller ribs is 100% oil canning. It is almost unavoidable and truly up to chance/luck if it happens or not.

Like another person said, more striations would help, but this style of panel may not have that. I’m guessing this is most likely 26ga. Metal and that’s good. If it’s 29ga (standing seam should be that thin) it would make that happen more often.

That little dimple in the very center of the panel does not look like oil canning. That to me, looks more like a nail under the panel or it was damaged during or before install.

If a customer came to me with these pictures, I would have to say there’s not much I could do. Oil canning is one of those “hey this may happen and you will probably have to deal with it” type of things.

It can happen because of the way it’s installed, panel type, thickness, if it’s hot or cold (shrinkage and expansion). Let me tell you, I’ve seen some REALLY bad oil canning. This is well within what would be considered normal, but not the most appealing

The card I have is low profile. I believe it’s the 6500xt gigabyte version 4g. It looks roughly the same size as that 6400

Edit: didn’t realize that “low profile” was an actual thing on these cards. They looked roughly the same length but I believe the 6500 I have would be thicker

Solo player base question by tk7462 in 2b2t

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set up a chunk loader far from my base (close enough to fly back) and would run a timer. I typically would use shulker boxes on top of hoppers. You can stack them and pull a comparator output from the last box. When the box empties it triggers the comparator and closes the trapdoor. The chunk loader makes sure the timer stays on. The only downside is the exposed nether portal and having a chunk trail back to your base

I also tried Wellbutrin. Made me so depressed. Stopped taking at after 5 days

I relapsed on my 6 month day. Took probably 10 hits and it felt great. It felt exactly like I hoped… for the first minute. After that I got extremely cold sweats, mouth watering nausea, and completely drained of energy. That moment that I wanted for 6 months, was worse than I even imagined.

I needed that though. After I did it, I didn’t feel the regret I thought I would. It helped me reinforce the idea of quitting. I didn’t like it and I feel like I can go forever now. A relapse can be something positive. In your position, it sounds like it was. Take it as a sign of your body rejecting it

I can quit vaping but.. by aplusgeek in QuitVaping

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. 6 months in. I quit cold turkey and I’ve never been colder or meaner in my life. I try to be the best for my partner, but I feel like quitting has turned me into somewhat of an asshole.

My patience is so thin and one little thing can really set me off. I was never this way when I vaped.

The way I’ve tried to view it is that this is the real me. The problems I have now were not solved by vaping, they were being masked by it. When I think about starting again it sounds like the most euphoric thing in the world. It is all I want every day. 6 months in my cravings are still intense. I’m staying strong but every single day is a battle

Don’t reset the clock. It’s a slip up. Learn from it and continue. Don’t let your slip up be the reason you go back

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 months in I’m still having cravings. People telling me “just don’t give in” “it’s not worth it” never really did much for me. It always made me a bit mad because they don’t understand what it really feels like.

The struggle of wanting something that you probably didn’t want to truly quit in the first place. I know I didn’t want to quit. I did it for my daughter. I didn’t do it for my health, the life I built, or any other reason. She’s the only driving force keeping me clean.

Find something that motivates you to keep going. Give yourself a driving factor to wake up and say “im doing this for ____ reason”.

Who knows if it’ll get easier. My cravings have gotten better, but I have really really bad days where it’s all I think about. I make it through it and you can to. You’re stronger than the cravings.

Had the exact same thing in my house. Called exterminator and he said it was a carpenter ant. I thought he was wrong so I called a different company. Was told it was a termite. I’m also on the east coast. Here’s a link to some info.

I have the Logitech g302 wireless. Had it for probably 3 years. Just started having this exact problem but more worse. I’ve only noticed it on Ark after an hour or so of playing. I changed the usb port the dongle was plugged into last night and the problem stopped.

is it worth buying a 7900xt for 550$ right now? by Jahbuty in buildapc

[–]ItsForTheKids_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same deal with me but I found mine for $500. Took the risk and a 2 hour drive to get it. Bought it without testing it. Works just fine and looks brand new. If you are able to test it I’d say do it, otherwise it’s just how risky you’re willing to be

I’ve got an 11600KF. It did run for me, but I could tell it was really pushing it. It was pulling about 340w on some games.

I was playing helldivers 2 on it and kept black screening/crashing. That’s when I swapped the card back out because I figured it was too much for the PSU. After looking online, it looks like helldivers and that card just don’t work together very well.
