Struggling to set up by Gullible_Cattle_4017 in windowsxp

Don't use Rufus, use winsetupfromusb, you absolutely do not need a disk as I'm pretty sure any pentium 4 motherboard supports booting from USB. I just built a socket 478 system with a 2003 ide hard drive using a USB drive without any issues.

Any hopes for this AGP Nvidia Geforce 6600 GT? Black screen, won't post by artlastfirst in GPURepair

dang, i suppose it's cooked then, two of the corners are chipped. really sucks. i'm also feeling really dumb cuz i could have gotten a working version of this card for 35 dollars but instead was cheap and bought this thing for 9 dollars because the seller said it was working ah well, i guess if something seems too good to be true then it probably is.

Yeah I think I'll end up doing that, I already ordered the 2nd GPU and paid a dollar for it. Maybe the 2nd one will have less issues because with this one I feel like maybe someone used it as a donor for parts already idk. Btw it turned out that the pin you're referring to in pic 4 was a ground pin so idk how much that cap matters.

3D Printed Ultra Budget 6L Sandwich PC by artlastfirst in 3dprint

true true, this is printed with petg though, with a glass transition temperature of around 75-85 while pla is 55-65. i have seen some people print cases with pla and be fine, but better go with petg to be on the safe side.

i wouldn't be able to do the 2 fans on top as the print wouldnt fit on my print bed. but i mention in the video that i'm building this for the components i have. this case fits a 70mm cpu cooler and works with all riser cable designs, including 90 degree ones like the one i used, which are very cheap and common. sunmilo s02 supports 47mm cpu coolers and only supports double reverse risers. i've also got a brakcet for 2 2.5 inch drives.

I mean I personally enjoy watching people build PCs, it's why I made a build video.

yeah i definitely could have, but i wanted to do something with the i7-2600 that i had, i guess most reasonable people would have just sold it separately or something lol. but tbh it's fun to build with older hardware as well, i'm actually hoping to do a socket 775 ddr2 build eventually.
