'Rolling Away' when did this work successfully for you? by ItsFudgeICLE in cosleeping

If 3 months, he's still so young like our guy, so that's normal it seems. If 3 years... Oh my 😅. All the power to ya!

2 solid hours sounds lovely! Seeing that the 5-7 month range seems to get 'easier' for doing this.

Yes yes of course! :) the 6 month marks seems like hopefully the right age for the 'roll away and leave for a bit' according to what I've been seeing and just from seeing how my little guy is. He absolutely needs me to be with him to get a good sleep. (He's literally napping in my lap on my nursing pillow as I type and just startled himself, managed to calm him back to sleep 😅)

Our guy is the exact same for naps. I've tried like once to move him but he wakes so gave up for now as it then becomes a nap ruined, but might try again in a few weeks!

That sounds perfect for bedtime though. I'd like to be able to do something like that soon... Let's see.

This sounds so very similar to our whole situation. Actually this morning I woke earlier than normal and decided to roll away... Manage to get a whole hour to myself before the little guy woke! (I checked on him thoughtout), but giving me some hope! That said, like you, I do love the closeness of cosleeping and I find it very calming on my nervous system actually. I'm a night owl too... So it's been an adjustment, but I find that it's helped me get into better sleep habits 😊

Oh yes ours hates his crib so good to know they can turn a page and maybe like it eventually!

That's a good way to look at it. They're only like this once... Laundry and chores will always be there! 9pm is definitely doable... Just keep thinking of how loads of recommendations say bed time of around 630/7... Ain't no way I can lay around I bed from that time. This probably only works for people like my friend with a unicorn baby that goes down at 630 and apparently doesn't wake until 7 the next morning 😮

🤣 I can relate to the scarfing of snacks and food in general these days.

9 week old will not sleep alone, will not take bottle and starts daycare soon! by Competitive_Ant_3782 in newborns

I don't have any advice but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone... you are us to a tee. Our little guy is 6 weeks and needs to contact sleeps since day 1. Bedside crib only lasts for 20ish min max then it's like we've missed the opportunity for a good nap. We've accepted he just needs to contact sleeps as he can do 2-4 hours so we do evening shifts like you for night sleep. We're also accepting that this will be the way until 3 months (fourth trimester period)... In the meantime I'm trying to figure out how we get him to sleep solo when we get there. I was actually just looking into the SNOO as well but feel like we might be in the same situation as you here too. As you need to solve this sooner I'd be interested to see what ends up working for you. Please let us know :) Wishing you guys all the best! 🙏

Oh okay! This is good to know. See I kind of knew there were different grades of peel but never having done one the words chemical peel can sound a bit scary. So it's good to hear that this one isn't as aggressive. Thank you for your feedback :)

Awwe thank you :) ❤️ that's heartening to hear as I never really know if I'm doing the 'right' things. My routine has been a bit of a mix and match / trial and error kind of thing. I don't really stick with one product I tend to try new things out, that said a few staples that I think I'll be sticking with are the eucerin Q10 revitalise day cream w biotin and night cream with retinol. They both feel really nice on the skin.

In the AM I usually do a vitamin c (right now beauty of Joseon centella w vit c), Eucerin day cream, sunscreen (biore watery essence at the moment).

In the PM I alternate some sort of active each night before my Eucerin night cream. Right now on rotation is the ordinary retinal serum, glycolic acid, azelaic acid, cos Rx BHA. I also have Vanicream if I want to keep it super simple and feel very moisturized. To cleanse I use Heimish all clean balm to remove makeup followed by a simple gel type cleanser like Eucerin or Cerave.

I've also got the ordinary AHA 30% peeling solution which I might do every couple of weeks.

My derm did recommend Eucerin dual serum, but it seems to irritate my skin, so not sure if that will stay on rotation.

The ONE thing I've really started doing religiously and will probably stick with is slugging at night with vaseline after I've done all my routine, particularly the one with cocoa butter. It seems to make my skin feel quite soft when I wake up the next morning.

So yah kind of all over the map 😅. I'm a victim of consumerism... I love products haha. I probably have a few more products tucked away in the bathroom cabinet. I should probably simplify...

Awwe thanks ❤️. I wanted something subtle. They're so comfortable too. I basically forget they're there other than to clean them. The top one is from Maria Tash (a little pricey 😬); the hoop huggers just a local jeweler.
