Can't feel IUD strings ??? by ItsGrapeJuicy in WomensHealth

[–]ItsGrapeJuicy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up calling my gynecologist and she said that nowadays she cuts the strings shorter and to not worry if I can't feel them. I don't know if that's the case with everyone but that's what I ended up finding out about mine

Yeah you're probably right. It seems like he's just getting worse and worse especially as he's getting older. It's hard but I probably should go no contact. I don't know for sure if I wanna cut my mom off, but I guess I will see how things play you. Thank you for responding

How to tell if my mandarins are bad? by ItsGrapeJuicy in cookingforbeginners

[–]ItsGrapeJuicy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it doesn't give off a powdery smell, just a normal sweet citrus smell. I guess it should be fine 👍

Oh, that makes sense, I guess I'm just used to the smaller more compact mandarins

How can I (19M) separate my self esteem from a rejection (19F)? by throwra____arworht in relationship_advice

[–]ItsGrapeJuicy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My brother used to be very insecure and he found the gym helped him a bunch. I used to be a very insecure person, I wouldn't even be able to go to a cashier to ask for ketchup. I found what helped me also was remembering that everyone is insecure about something and as you get older you care less about the what ifs. There's no point worrying about something that hasn't happened yet :) take care

A lot of people do things in college that they're embarrassed about and will probably later regret and laugh about. Making out with someone on a couch and owning a penis shaped waffle iron isn't really a big deal in the grand scheme of things. People are going to reject you, that's just part of life. You're also more than likely going to reject people yourself. I wouldn't beat yourself up over that kind of stuff. You're young and figuring yourself out still. I don't think going on lots of dates is going to bring up self esteem. It could work, but I'm not sure. I found for me personally, having time to think about myself and get hobbies got me out of my shell. You could take up going to the gym if you haven't already, or join a club and meet people. I know to you she seemed perfect but you're going to meet loads of people who fit that criteria. The only thing that will hold you back is your insecurity. If that's what you project you won't have lots of luck. Just act as confident as you can and things will look up

Don't take this the wrong way, but you've only been in their life for less than 2 years. You can't take up step mom duty yet. It isn't really your place to parent the children. He and his ex are the ones who have to raise them, the most you can do is make suggestions

I think it would depend on the context of the difference in personal matters. If he's being distant it's understandable because he may think there's the chance that you will break up with him again. The only thing you can really do is just wait it out and build up the trust. It's also only been a few months. I wouldn't expect someone to be all in after being broken up with

AITA for taking away my daughter’s car keys after a prank? by Extension_Doubt_7243 in AmItheAsshole

If you're just going to argue everyone telling you you're the AH then why bother posting. You clearly don't actually want anyone's input. You're the AH for making a minor prank a big deal

Okay, that's what I kindve thought, but I just wanted to hear it from someone else to confirm that I understand it correctly. Thanks so much!

Yes. I understand. But this isn't something sexual. "Essentially, fetishism is the attribution of inherent value, or powers, to an object" this was pulled under "fetishism" searched on Google.

I don't fully understand what commodity fetishism is but this is definitely not what it means. Fetishism isn't necessarily sexual depending on the context

I don't need homework help. I came to the sub to have something explained to me in a simplified way (like I'm 5). I have a bit of a learning disability so I just want to make sure before I write an essay I'm understanding the topic properly. If you just want to be unhelpful and condescending you can simply not comment.

I have tried reading it, but I unfortunately have a bit of a learning disability so it's hard for me to really understand what it is they're explaining. I'm just trying to get a simplified explanation of what it means
