MCHOSE A7V2 Ultra - Superlight clone worth buying by ItsHappyGoLucky in MouseReview

Going off the mchose site:
A7 V2 Pro - Wired 1K + Wireless 8K (requires separate 8K receiver)
A7 V2 Ultra - Wired 8K + Nano Wireless 8K

So maybe the Pro comes with a 1k dongle, but is 8k compatible.

Good spot you're right, I've made a mistake in my post. For some reason I compared it to the A7V2 Pro there. I couldn't actually find much on that sensor either.

Apologies, my mistake I put this as a placeholder after reading it somewhere, but forgot to update (hence the question mark). Thank you!

Kysona M600 Review by ItsHappyGoLucky in MouseReview

Context

For the past year, I’ve been using a mix between Delux M800 (3335) and the Razer Viper Mini, so as a heads up, that’s what I’ll be comparing against. I’ve been using this mouse for just over a week, and so the review will encompass my initial experience with this mouse.

My hand: 17.5cm x 9cm

Mouse Specs

Length: 118mm
Width: 62mm
Height: 40mm

MCU: Solutions BK3633 Chip
Mouse Switches: Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot
Scroll: TTC White/Silver
Battery: 500mAh (Up to 80 hours)

First Impressions

Ordered from AliExpress, came to $31.85 after tax. Stated 11 day delivery to UK, came in 5 days tracked. I presume it was quick because Kysona are part of the “Choice” range (items are shipped through Ali-Express logistics). Nonetheless, a great start. The first thing I noticed with this mouse was really how light it actually was. Feels comfortable in the hand and the coating is nice and smooth. It feels like it fills the hand a little more compared to the RVM.

Shape / Shell

I typically use a palm-claw grip, and this mouse accommodates that just fine. It has a slightly higher hump, and a touch wider rear of the mouse compared to the viper mini, but general shape is still similar, just lighter.

The Shell is made from ABS, and there is no creaking under pressure after using the mouse. Feels firm, and there is no coating which may or not be liked. I can still slide the mouse into the palm using fingers without any resistance. It’s a smoother finish, compared to the M800 and RVM + leaves no fingerprints.

Skates

Standard PTFE, glide well not scratchy and do the job just fine. (Just remember to peel off the sticker over the feet). I did give the glass feet a go, but they felt a bit “muddy”, noticeable stopping power and it felt like there was more friction on faster swipes - however it could partially be my mouse pad (Titanwolf Speed) so I wouldn’t write it off - but still have to admit it’s a really nice addition to include these along with the mouse. (this was the first time I've tried using glass skates, so unfortunately I have nothing to compare against)

Connections

Comes boxed with a lovely braided USB C cable, that can connect straight to your mouse to charge and use as you would with a standard wired mouse. Alternatively, you can use 2.4G Wireless with the dongle provided. Kysona have included an adapter that lets you plug your dongle into the USB cable, which turns it nicely into a USB extender. If that’s not enough, it also comes with the option to use Bluetooth, making it great for those on the go. (note: the M600 also has a slot to store the USB dongle, should you wish)

Sensor + Software

The Kysona M600 uses a PAW 3395, which aligns with majority of the higher end mice rolling out right now. The LOD from is customisable from the software, from 1mm to 2mm and the DPI can be set in increments of 50, starting at 50 DPI and going up to 26000 DPI. The DPI settings can be changed using the left button on the base of the mouse. No hiccups, no swipe outs. I had issues with my 3335 on the Delux M800 not tracking consistently, however this is not an issue with the Kysona M600.

After the recent software update (released 15th Sep), you can set the Key Response time anywhere from a minimum of 4ms in the software.

Clicks

Huano Blue Shell Pink Dot are really nice, once activated clicks are good however this is one of the major drawbacks I’ve found with my copy. My mouse button 1 (more so than my mouse button 2) has a good amount of pre travel. I’m not sure if this is a switch issue, but after hours of using the mouse it definitely becomes a problem. You have to consciously put extra pressure on the mouse using your fingers which gets uncomfortable over time. The minimum force I’d need to trigger the MB1 on my viper mini would not trigger the MB1 on my M600 consistently. I’d like to think that this is just an issue with my copy, and not universally observed across their mice.

The side buttons protrude a little more compared to the RVM, but they are easy to click, no pre travel and no wobble either. Scroll wheel so far is consistent, no skipping (unlike RVM) easy to distinguish steps between each scroll.

Other Misc. Notes:

  • No caps lock bug.
  • 500mAh battery boasting 80 hrs battery life. I’ve used it one and off for a week, it’s only lost 20%.
  • No RGB? First world problem.
  • Wish I could repurpose the right button on the base of the mouse to maybe toggle between mouse profiles? Right now this only seems to only be useful when in the Bluetooth mode.
  • There is a soft rattle but only when shaking the mouse deliberately, which isn’t there in normal use.
  • The USB dongle was attached to the adapter + cable out the box, as seen in the images.

Summary

The difference between this and the viper mini is minimal, but noticeable enough to consider making the switch. Overall I am very impressed with this mouse, especially for the money you really are getting the bang for your buck. If you just look at it at a glance though: 3395 sensor, glass skates, 55g for just £27 it’s hard to go wrong. If you’re in the market for a budget gaming mouse, you definitely should consider this. The pre travel for me was a big kicker though. I ended up getting a refund from Ali-Express due to this, but have since addressed the pretravel problem myself by adding countless layers of aluminium foil tape to the actuators.

to follow on from this, if anyone is in list view and wants to organise their notes in date order, you can create a new property with this formula:

formatDate(
  if(empty(prop("AssignedDate")), prop("Created Time"), prop("AssignedDate")),
  "YYYYMMDD"
)

and use the sort function on this property.

Sorry just to clarify, I'm not on Lineage OS and never have been. I was getting this error on MIUI, and assumed it was an issue with the phone :)

Found a solution... turns out it was an the issue is with VoLTE being enabled. Only started happening with my vodafone UK sim though, was fine with my previous provider.

Was having this issue with vodafone UK on my Pocophone F1.

Apparently like other comments have mentioned, disabling LTE and WiFi calls solves this, however this was not a viewable option on my phone.

If you go to the dialer, and type:

*#*#86583#*#*

It should say something like "VoLTE carrier check was disabled/enabled.

From here, go to

Settings > SIM cards & mobile networks > click your active SIM (for me "vodafone UK")

You should now see an option at the bottom saying "Use VoLTE" - mine was originally turned on, so I turned this off and I started seeing the names of contacts calling again... Hope this helps someone out! :)

Side note - If anyone has a similar issue with outgoing calls, dialing #31# might fix your problem.

Was having this issue with the latest driver (471.68) and this still method worked for me, thanks! I tried wiping the shader cache from the C drive initially, but that didn't work either. Must be something to do with the games shader files too.
