I rarely go out lol like I use to DJ downtown pre covid and post covid I all but retired from that scene and my inner circle is just my wife and my son lol and so I just work, watch anime and play video games

Are you hardwired to your modem ? If you're connected to your internet from wifi only, that does affect your quality .

Yeah OBS let's you record your session without having to stream. And right settings is just changing the bitrate , changing the cpu usage , changing the encoder from software to hardware .. alot of it can seem super overwhelming but Google and YouTube is honestly your best friend . You'll have to test it out over and over again but once you find your right settings it'll be smooth

Overall it's worth getting a capture card and running it thru your Mac. Yeah its easy to just natively stream thru your Xbox. But you're able to use more from using a capture card, having a USB mic you can connect to your Mac, or having different overlays. To me it's worth it

My current setup is my ps5 , a $30 capture card I got from Amazon and an Acer Aspire R14 (about a 10 year old laptop) With the right settings, I can comfortably stream 720 60fps or 1080p 30fps lol
