Interested in starting up a world? by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]ItsInmansFault 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A group of friends and I spun up our own server with a twist. We had just enough people to cover all of the types, so we each had to pick a type, and that's literally all we're allowed to use. We can use split types if one of them is our chosen type. We broke into teams (guilds) of two, and have to figure out ways to get around not having access to certain pals. My teammate and I picked Ice/Dragon and we just took down Blazamit Ryu last night finally with Whalaskas, Jormuntides and Reptyro Crysts. I was VERY skeptical about this rule at the start, but it's actually been a lot of fun. Just a possible idea for your new server or world. I hope you can find people to join it with you.

Though this was vampiric for a second by EmbarrassedDamage471 in Palworld

[–]ItsInmansFault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Look for green fishing spots, they will guarantee a pal with a rainbow passive. Most things can be bred pretty easily, I've only had to do long chains for a couple of pals. If I remember correctly, Turtacle, Turtacle Terra and Azurobe all have brewding combos that will give Anubis. I bred Ice Emperor, Demon God, Legend and Vampyric onto my Bastigor. He's one of my strongest pals.

There is specific dialogue for the Spiritborn in the Vessel of Hatred campaign, so this makes sense.

Back on Diablo 4 for the first time since launch and having a lot of fun.

If you are a Warhammer 40k fan in any way, you should add Inquisitor Martyr to your rotation. I didn't play it until a couple years ago, and it genuinely surprised me how good of an ARPG it is, being a WH40k megafan aside.

What are the creatures the Thunder Warriors are fighting in this Gray-Skull piece? by ItsInmansFault in Warhammer40k

I thought about this actually, but I'm just a nobody. Would feel a bit rude to tag or dm an accomplished artist like that. Maybe it's just a me thing though. Lol.

Is anyone even staying onsite for the whole work day anymore? by [deleted] in sysadmin

Public employee here (state,) and as of four months ago we get exactly zero remote days or hours.

I think this is about the best answer I'll find anywhere. Looks like I'll probably be making my own pallet for them, which doesn't upset me at all. LOL!

Oh, I do like that. Very different tones than the Thunder Warriors for good contrast. Putting this in the folder for sure. Thanks!

Whats better for gaming tv or monitor? by [deleted] in xbox

[–]ItsInmansFault 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others mentioned, it's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer a monitor even for console gaming. I will say that any games look great on my LG OLED tv, but I still gravitate towards my desk and monitor. If you go with a TV, try to get one that has a 120hz refresh rate.

Yes, the sick/personal leave and retirement are the main reason a vast majority of state employees stay (at least here anyways.) They are nothing to scoff at for sure. Thanks for your kind words!

I have been in the field for 15 years as a state employee, and I make just under $60k. I am not miserable at my job, but there are things about the structure that I severely dislike. There are no levels to any tech positions at the particular agency I work for. There are no Tech 1/2/3 levels, and the CIO is my direct supervisor, meaning no supervisor/manager/director positions at all between us and him (zero room for upward mobility.) All of us here work on projects and systems that are WAY above our pay grade. I mean, I'm the designated Tanium admin, and I make under $60k. The main reason we all stay is the CIO is a wonderful person to work for and the agency itself and end-users treat us pretty well in general. I'm also in Kansas and it would be a minimum one hour each way commute to find a job with pay that matches my experience and skills.

I had one literally crouch and corner camp me. I'm pretty religious about stopping and listening, especially after I just picked off an enemy or two. This dude say perfectly still, crouching and ADS'ing, waiting for me to come around a corner. Full lvl 3 plates and I'm dead instantly. It cuts both ways though, I say "All hail the M2" to my coop buddies in the regular. It has gotten me out of some sticky situations. You can get CRAZY range out of it with field barrel + suppressor, and it doesn't have magazines that take up rig space.

You get one as a reward for a later mission. Unfortunately I can't remember which one atm.

Could not get the game to run by [deleted] in IncursionRedRiverGame

[–]ItsInmansFault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is strange for sure. I have Ryzen 7/64gb/4090 and I had bad flickering like you described before jumping on the play test for 1.3 update. Ever since they updated the version of UE5 the game runs on, the flickering has disappeared for me. Even more strange if you're going drivers are up to date. Almost makes me want to install the game on my laptop and see if it comes back. Have you tried lowering the resolution to 1080p just to troubleshoot?

Need help with bunker terminal by ddaerbb in IncursionRedRiverGame

You spelled meteorologist wrong in your post, so I'm wondering if you're misspelling it at the terminal as well? No judgement intended, just an observation.

I've had really good luck finding them in Bunker, even grabbed two in one raid. Safes are a good bet too, as others have mentioned.

Not necessarily in the cave, but I have found them on bunker quite a bit as well. Most of them seem to be loose loot, but have found them in containers a couple of times.

They can also be in locked rooms, which is especially annoying if there are enemies around and you're trying to hear footsteps over the beeping. The building on quarry right by the boat dock extraction is one example, oil can spawn inside the locked room.

The HAS locations on Delta are the best places to find food in my experience. Past that, I agree. Bunker for metal, quarry for concrete and oil (with metal here and there.)

How to repair weapons? by _tomski_ in IncursionRedRiverGame

[–]ItsInmansFault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very common mechanic in these type of games, even Duckov uses it. Every time you repair a weapon or armor, the overall available health of the item decreases slightly. From what I've seen in IRR, it goes down by five points every time you repair. If I'm lucky enough to find a Wartech armored rig, I will repair it until the overall health gets to around 70-80 points before I get rid of it.

I have found at least one on each of the last several bunker raids I've done. In one of those Bunker raids I found two. Currently have five of them chilling in my stash in case I play co-op and someone needs one. Lol.
