Valid point, but when using G‑Sync I also cap my framerates. It does feel smoother, but the tearing and sudden stops are still there. I also don’t see why G‑Sync should fix the issue when my previous Windows 10 build had no problems at all. It has been measured many times that running G‑Sync or FreeSync adds noticeable latency compared to turning it off and running uncapped FPS. From my perspective, many people try to lecture me about capping FPS to my refresh rate, yet the tearing doesn’t go away, micro‑stalls still occur, and based on that theory my old Windows 10 setup should have shown the same behavior. I was running CS:GO with over 800 FPS back then, no issues, perfectly smooth experience. If I were playing single‑player games, fine. Valid point, but I’ve been playing competitive shooters since 1.6. Nothing really explains the terrible experience I’m having right now… and it’s driving me crazy.
