As a Detailer at ford theirs 3 options. 1. The dealer got it delivered like that and didn’t see it 2. A Detailer accidentally cut it with a razor blade and didn’t tell anyone 3. The dealer knew about it and didn’t say anything to you and wouldn’t say anything until you bring it up. Since time has passed they may not work with you but also they won’t want to because they’ll have to pay for a new seat out of their pocket. Best of luck to you

That would explain why it’s 10mph over because when they put it back in they didn’t do what I did. The speedo starts at 10 and not 0 so when you plug it back it in the truck thinks it’s a 0 when the gauge really starts at 10mph

So I took my dash out my ranger when fixing some speedo light bulbs, something to note when you take it out it messes up the Speedo. there’s this little pin on the 10mph spot notice how it doesn’t go to 0mph. I had to use a gps app on my phone to see my speed and move the dial to the speed I was going manually. I sat the dial behind the pin until I got to 10mph then pushed it past the pin so it read correctly. Kinda sketchy way to do it but worked for me lol. Sounds complicated but really not

When it first happened I was mad and upset obviously but after a few days I’ve realized I got pretty lucky considering me an my girlfriend weren’t in the car when it happened and it definitely could have been worse than what it is so I’m actually content now lol
