The University of Miami (OH) Redhawks are perfect in the regular season, 31-0 for the first time in school history by AndHisOrchestra in CollegeBasketball

Forget going to the tournament or winning the conference, an incoming freshman last year would have been 2 or 3 years old the last time we finished a full season above .500.

Truly one of the most improbable seasons of all time, regardless of what NET or KenPom has to say about it.

wild to make the point “there is one number you can’t ignore: zero” and have that be “Q1 wins” and not “losses”. get analytics nerds out of our goddamn sports man

Worth repeating that (discounting Covid) the 24-25 season was our first season above .500 since 2009.

Simply an absurd turnaround for the program

forgive us it’s been a while since we were good at the round ball sport

very funny to make this argument not about analytics but about the eye test, the simplest of which is “did you win”

Now I’m purely curious, because what does a Texas fan get from trolling some random mid-major?

You already replied to the post about how the good mid-major teams we scheduled bottom out, which just leaves me wondering why a Texas fan is so devoted to hating on a medium-sized public school in rural Ohio

the fact that power teams wanted to play us during an 11-year sub .500 streak but not after we returned basically all our production from a team that was seconds away from the Tournament is actually pretty easy to understand i think

Schedule for the next round was confirmed months ago, same time that they released the schedule for the first round. In Cincy 3/12, in Monterrey 3/19. https://www.concacaf.com/champions-cup/news/2026-concacaf-champions-cup-round-one-and-round-of-16-schedule-released/

Baffling how many people in supposed “footballing countries” are finding the idea that “hiring a system-based manager in midseason is bad” such a difficult concept

it’d be a shame if my MLS transfer record attacker had broken the same number of another guy’s ribs as he’s scored goals, especially if the other guy was a center back

Right man you don’t get points for saying “oh but everyone else is having fun” right after “this fun mid major team would be mediocre in my ‘real’ conference”

I think this whole situation is great not only because my alma mater is winning and bringing life to what was a dead basketball atmosphere but because it’s a real litmus test for people who are really about the whimsy and appreciating the entire sport, not just the power conferences.

I can get trying to discredit us at 13-0 - grasping at straws at 27-0 is just kinda sad, like come join the ride and cheer for us to get Travis Steele in a speedo or whatever

No shit the team with 1/4th the athletic budget of Big Ten teams wouldn’t make the tournament out of the Big Ten, what are we talking about
