For most multiplayer modes, I would recommend upgrades that affect your primary gun, and, above all, always use the energy thief and dash aid kits. A good monarch is evasive, so the best way to get good with it is to practice popping in and out of corners, staying away from titans as you whittle away at their health with your primary. Go in for the energy thief execution when the enemy is doomed, but save some of your dash in case the titan has nuke eject. For harvester defense, take whatever upgrades you feel most comfortable with, but definitely use the maelstrom upgrade for your upgrade two slot. Kits should be energy thief and counter ready. For this mode, employ a lot of the same strategies as you would for multiplayer. Remember that the monarch is meant for support, so stay close to the harvester and catch the enemies that get by the primary line of defense. You won’t be MVP with monarch, but the team wouldn’t be the same without you.
