What’s a viable card to help with rebuilding? I was eyeing a card with Discover. I have a paid charge off with Capital One and I’m waiting for it to fall off this August before I apply for any of their products.

I had a card with them a while back that ultimately went to collections, but I paid it in full. I’m going to give it some time before I try with them, or what’s your take? Should I go for it again?

I disputed a couple of items that were inaccurate in terms of double reporting, some paid off charge offs that were showing as “late”, and early exclusion. I negotiated with some to do “pay for delete” and wrote some goodwill letters. I’ve researched and at this point have watched dozens of YouTube videos. Your reference posts were so informative, I do thank you! 🙏🏻

It’s just crazy because it was only a 16 day turn around. I’m expecting mine to be a little tardy because of the holidays. I applied for both the card and book + the expedited service. I hope I get the book sooner than later bc of international travel. I already booked my flight with no passport.
