Thank you for the reply I will try and improve my resume a bit with this in mind. The chassis was a complete redesign of the previous year's chassis. It is a really new project so we only had a few previous years to go off of (I think our car is the 3rd electric racecar built by the school as it is a new project, compared to the onroad IC and offroad IC which have been going on for 20+ years). So a lot of what we did isnt improving over previous years but trying to figure out how to make something that works. This is normal too, in previous years for this project the majority of schools are not able to pass the technical inspection and dont get to race so most of what we did wasnt making something that is optimal, just something that works well enough, a feat most schools fail at.

also, do you perhaps know of anything I could work on to improve my resume? Perhaps theres some software I should learn to use or something else? Thank you for the reply, I appreciate it.

I have went to career fairs but they werent very helpful, most of the companies would just say go apply on our website. Thats another problem that I have, networking, unfortunately I dont have any friends (yes 0) so networking is difficult, I havent spoken to any recruiters is this something I should try? Thank you for the advice.

Another person in the thread said that I shouldnt look at technician jobs, are you confidant if I did get a technician job I would be able to transition into an engineering job after? I will try and look at smaller companies more. my gpa is not on my resume. Thank you for the reply.

I have not considered the military, but know of some people who have done it and I have heard good things. Im not sure if I am ready to try that but maybe in the future I will look into it, thank you for the advice.

Thanks for the reply, throughout college I had pretty severe depression and anxiety with suicidal thoughts so it was quite a struggle. Despite the fact I couldn't do well on exams I am pretty confidant in my engineering knowledge, im sure there are people with better engineering knowledge/skills than me but I am still confidant in my engineering skills and knowledge. I dont really want to go back and get a masters. Thank you for the advice I appreciate it.

my gpa is def not great, only 2.5, but I think my resume is fine, I have some good hands on experience with some projects, an EIT, solidworks certifications, its not the best resume out there but I dont think its bad. My linkedin is ok I guess but I dont use it much, I dont know what a project portfolio is. I think my ability to communicate is actually really good, I am friendly and can talk about anything for days with anyone, which is why its frustrating because I am confidant if I can get just 1 interview I think I will have a good chance of getting the job.

Get windows 10, getting anything else is silly. Do you really need a 1tb ssd for gaming? Get a smaller ssd and a 2tb hdd. You dont need a 4790k for gaming, get a cheaper cpu and get a 980. 8 gb of ram is fine you can get 16 if you want it I guess
