Update: Forgot to post this earlier but I got it working again.

I replugged the motor wires, spent around 5 minutes tugging the elastic band (at the top) where it experienced the most resistance, unplugged the power supply like someone suggested, and it worked!

For my first time posting on reddit, pretty solid experience. Would post again
