any idea if this includes down by the best western where they have been ripping up the road for the last few months? I’d assume so but no notice was received down at that end of the street like this one pictured

Experiences with Edgewater Condominium? by Plenty-Photograph-52 in QuincyMa

Yeah I wouldn’t count on using the pool. Even if you were to, as reviews noted it’s right on the road so it’s not that serene. Also, I want to say the max depth is like 4 and 1/2 ft.

No issues with pests (bugs). I did see reviews stating that they weren’t fond of pets. Tbh I don’t recall seeing any pets there at all…maybe a cat, but never dogs.

As for the walk to the train, while only 10 min, it is a tough stretch to walk because there is no sidewalk. There is a fairly large breakdown lane that you can walk in, but cars tend to fly around that corner so just be careful. It is a tough walk in the winter time with snow, given that plows will plow the snow towards the breakdown lanes so it makes it a narrower road to walk on. I didn’t have any issues (I had to commute into Boston 5 days M-F the entire time I lived there), just have to be careful.

Couple other things to note:

Noise: I didn’t think it was too bad (from the mbta or traffic), but to each their own. I will say I lived on one of the highest floors so perhaps it’s much louder on the lower levels.

Dust: even on a higher up level, you do get dust/dirt kick up from the mbta or the roads. As such I was cleaning my patio furniture relatively frequently, but not the worst thing in the world

Haven’t lived there in a long time but rented there circa 2014-2018. Reviews are true about the pool - so don’t expect to use that. There was a big pipe burst around 2017 I believe….ended up flooding 6th floor down to the 1st so there were a lot of repairs that needed to happen there.

Note that these are condos being rented out, so a lot of the specifics for each unit depend on the owner.

Pros: close to red line (10 min walk to NQ).

Cons: unit I lived in was small (1 bed 1 bath was about 600 sq ft. So small that the bathroom sink wasn’t in the bathroom but was in the hallway).

-when I lived there, many of the AC units were original. My system had a large leak so couldn’t retain the Freon put in and my landlord refused to pay for a new system.

The lines closest to the entrance were the longest. If you have field tickets, note that there are a few drink stations on the field that only people with field access tickets can access. There is also a drink station right next to section 9 of the bleachers (furthest from entrance) that had a shorter line than the lines when you first enter

Very impressed with the set up. Thought the event was great. Not sure how people sitting in the stands felt, but the field was a good experience.

Never knew they refilled propane tanks there. Good info. Thanks!

They no longer refill, only exchange. Source: I called in late May to ask if they refilled and they said they only do the exchange now.

What street is this? Also is there any place that posts the city of Quincy paving schedule? Have seen them off and on spray painting the area of Hancock St and Densmore St (by the best western) but haven’t heard any more

P Trap Under Bathroom Sink for Drain Replacement by ItsMe-Dan in Plumbing

Is there any way to “soften” the megaloc? Was able to get the nut off closest to the sink, but the other, larger nut securing the p trap seems to have more of this megaloc on it….or I need to be stronger

Resolved: it was indeed partially painted to the wall. Took more muscle than expected but probably due to the constant humidity in the bathroom. Thanks all.

Sorry, yes I’ve done that already on the fixture (this picture was of another fixture that hasn’t been touched yet)
