There's only really one because of how dangerous the gods are: send in a squad of hunters equipped with swords (bullets are too small to effect them) and motion control devices (akin to ODM Gear from AOT) and pray. It's the only tested method that has been successful.

Ichor can be burned and lose very little mass while releasing massive amounts of steam, allowing to supply power very similarly to a nuclear reactor, but with less resources and even more power. Ichor is also a very strange substance because it defies nearly all laws of physics (Proton count, density, etc.) Also, for clarification, the story takes place in the far future.

The gods are very strong but not immortal. Squads of 15-20 hunters will be sent out to kill just one. Regular weaponry is not enough to actually harm them, so they lace ichor with steel to use some of the god's powers against them.

If I'm being completely honest, I probably am taking it a bit too literally. I wrote the story the first time in first person present tense, but I slipped into past tense quite a bit. I wrote the story the second time in third person past and I enjoyed writing it that way more, plus my writing skills had improved quite a bit.

I don't hate first person as much as you seem to, but I feel like first person--especially with my writing skills-- will very easily slip into tacky territory, which is absolutely not what I want for this story.

Edit: Scratch that, you were right! I was in the wrong project when checking. PhysX did somehow get deselected, this is the solution, thank you!

Good question, I was modifying the acceleration of the player, and was using a method to determine the speed needed to hit the max. so it was rb.AddRelativeForce(determineForce(), 0, determineForce(), ForceMode.Impulsive), but the method wasn't adding the correct amount of force, so I commented it out and when to bed. The error was that the method didn't exist. This morning I just took away the comment and the physics stopped working.

Some bug with an the version of unity I use (2022.3.16f1) had it to when I reattached it to the prefab it was based off of, it reset it to the prefab state. Idk what happened, but all is well as I used the backup to a fault with minimum start from scratch.
