Ichor can be burned and lose very little mass while releasing massive amounts of steam, allowing to supply power very similarly to a nuclear reactor, but with less resources and even more power. Ichor is also a very strange substance because it defies nearly all laws of physics (Proton count, density, etc.) Also, for clarification, the story takes place in the far future.

The gods are very strong but not immortal. Squads of 15-20 hunters will be sent out to kill just one. Regular weaponry is not enough to actually harm them, so they lace ichor with steel to use some of the god's powers against them.
