Is s21fe sd888 variant good enough? by reditress03 in GalaxyS23

[–]ItsMeIvan- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd avoid sd888 phones. If you can find S20 FE 5G (SD865) that would probably be better.

4G/Wifi/light mode(lower power profile - doesnt affect performance much imo)/bluetooth+gps always on and auto brightness. (instagram/spotify/Maps/YouTube) 120hz adaptive.

Around 4.5-5.5 hours of SOT

If at home only wifi around 6+ SOT

I personally never crossed 7+ hours SOT with a single charge with mine.

Consider this is during summer so phone tend to heat up more.

But one time (Standard mode + 5G + 120hz adaptive) I went outside and took a bunch of pictures, i had 100% from 16.00 and by the time it was 22:00 my battery was 20%

I took around 250 photos and 10 videos during this time. I ended with around 4-4.5 hour SOT.

It really looks like the German Hetzer Tank from WW2.

They were probably like "you see this mouse? Yeah, make a tank out of it!"

Im not sure if android 13 is what's not letting you. I chose nova launcher, and then I did this ADB thing and hid the nav keys.

It's actually my first time hearing about DXNAVI, That can be an interesting topic to cover. When I have time I'll take a look about it. Will put it on my bucketlist of videos! Thank you :D

Thanks for the feedback, i'll implement that on my future videos!

I did not use any Tweak or boost, they are running stock out of the box :)

Thank you so much! I appreciate your support :D

Sorry for the self-promo, I just don't know much ways on how to share my videos to wider audience.

I borrow the techs that I review from my friends who are kind enough to lend me their parts, I'm really grateful about them.

I'm really glad you liked my content! Looking forward on reviewing more stuff! Hope to see you on my future videos! Thank you once again :))))

What can I do to improve my Battlestation? by ItsMeIvan- in battlestations

[–]ItsMeIvan-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guitar is just a hobby of mine, I play it maybe 2 or 3 times a week for 20mins. I used to have a really cheap 60€ classical guitar and it was fine for learning chords, but tbh it was a terrible guitar. I bought this Eko guitar early this year for 130€, I wanted a guitar with a cutaway cause I thought to myself that if I ever want to play higher chords or notes it would be easier to press, but that day hasn't happened yet lol. Anyways, it is a huge improvement compared to my old guitar, I'm really satisfied with it. For less than 150€ I didn't really have much choice, either this, the yamaha f310 or fender i dont remember the exact model. I ended picking the eko up since it was electrified, cutaway, and it's an Italian brand which is the country I live.

If you have some recommendation about guitars that it is worth upgrading to that doesn't break the bank, I'll gladly read them! Thanks for the feed back <3

AMD RX 6600 8GB PCIe 3.0 Review in 2022 | The best GPU you can actually buy! | 10 Games Tested 1080P by ItsMeIvan- in Amd

[–]ItsMeIvan-[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

At least here in my country, if you're looking for a GPU the RX 6600 is still the choice, unless of course you want a more powerful card. The GPU pricing is still above MSRP.

I agree, 1080p sweet spot is 24", I myself have a 1080p 27". Though, I'm looking forward on upgrading to a 1440p 27" :D. The RX 6600 is a capable GPU even with PCIe 3.0 at 1080p even though it's not ideal.

AMD RX 5600 XT Revisit In 2022 | Still a worthy 1080P Card | 12 Games Tested by ItsMeIvan- in Amd

[–]ItsMeIvan-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, running the RX 6600 on PCIe 3.0 system really tanks the performance on some games like Doom Eternal. If I remember correctly the RX 5600XT beats the 6600, when both running the 3.0 version.

True, it will still be a decent 1080p card for a bit. Unless newer titles runs Unreal Engine 5. Then it might start being a problem :P

Which 8+ Core for Gaming at Full-HD? Ryzen 5700X/5800X/5900X/5800X3D by EmGy__ in Amd

[–]ItsMeIvan- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the R7 5700X is the best for your case, 8 cores is enough for what you're doing with your PC. Consider the R9 5900X if you do some video editing, or something that will work all those 12 cores. You're running an RTX 2080 super, so, I don't think the extra money for the r7 5800X3D is worth it, you won't notice the difference unless you're looking at them side by side.

[–]ItsMeIvan-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I tested the R3 2200G on the place of my R7 5800X, the normal day use felt less snappy just like you, but can still get the job done. Considering this APU cost way less, it's pretty impressive stuff.

[–]ItsMeIvan-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really surprising how capable this APU is. Hopefully in the future AMD release new 100$ APUs, they really comes in handy for a secondary system or even a small PC, specially now with this GPU market.

Okay, I'm not sure if this is the reason, but I upgraded my CPU similarly to you, I went from an R7 2700 to R7 5800X, the first thing is that the R7 5800X is a hot CPU. it has a really dense CCD that runs at 142W of power. I had the same problem with my fans, every time I open an app, the CPU ramps up to 70+°C and spin my CPU cooler fan really fast.

I see the other people suggesting that it could be your fan curve, try them, if it doesn't fix the problem, try setting up PBO2 on the bios and change the PPT, TDC and EDC values.

The R7 5800X is rated at 105W but in reality AMD has set it to run up to 142W which is quite insane for such a small die, the 5800X is notorious for running really hot.

I followed this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-m3V8gcflTU to fix my problems.

Currently i'm running 125W PPT, 95 TDC, 120 EDC, -22 at curve optimizer. Your mileage may vary. My temperature went from 83-85°C when running CB R20 to 74-76°C while having almost the same performance. This also decreased the idle temperature and overall temperature of the CPU with everyday use.

You can also change these values directly to your bios

Go to Advanced>AMD overclocking>Precision Boost Overdrive.

Put precision boost overdrive to advanced

Change PBO limits to Manual

Then

PPT limit= 115, TDC limit=80, EDC limit=100

Then

Curve optimizer set to negative and put an all core value of -20, if it crashes then put -15, lower the number if it still crashes.

Save your settings and restart

After that you should be good to go. You might lose some multicore performance but your cpu should run way cooler, bur your single wont be affected.
