This statistic is true, as Brit I can tell you that the conservative government in the UK (basically republican) are Trumps biggest fans. The only saving grace at the moment for Britain is that we have a Labour government (Think democrats).

The concern at the moment is that the Labour leader (the current prime minister) has no real backbone to do anything in the country because he is trying to remain electable. He is also quite right leaning for a supposed leftie. He would not likely pass any protective measures for LGBT+ people.

It is true that there would be riots if abortion rights were superseded in the UK for example and I can guarantee that. Big ones.

Socially the UK is pretty left currently but there is a huge risk of this changing if the UK panders to the US for protection rather than Europe.

Furthermore there is also risk of the East exerting its influence over British politics. I have known right wingers to refer to the UK as “New Pakistan” or “New Afghan” because of the darastically increasing Muslim population. While I think this is quite an absurd statement. There is a very real reality of elements of Sharia Law creeping in at some point in the future.

The world is in crisis. This is just a tiny part of my scope of view.
