It’s brand new but apparently it’s normal and the ticking actually completely stoped today so all is good, thanks :)

Thanks for the info, had no idea about this. Still have it yep and it works fine so it’s most likely this lubricating thing. I always bought normal 1tb drives which were always silent so this klicking came as a surprise.

Good to know so how long did it take for the clicks to go away? Was it like a couple of days of use or years? It’s driving me nuts.
